If a newby comes in here it will be impossible for he/she to tell out of with 4000+ members who who regularly posts and who doesn't. With the post count you can see who posts a lot. And like others siad, after posting a certain amount you feel like you've accomplished something. Just without the post count it doesn't feel the same anymore and also the stuses when you pass a certain amount of posts are still there so the idea makes absolutely no sense what so ever. |

Ok.....i guess everybody has noticed that the post count now IS removed....well so just lets end this discussion........Me and Wilson will jsut have to accept that......i just think that now ppl now have one more reason to post useless replies..."well i wont get post counts anyway".......
Well well.......lets just take it as it is and lets all hope that the forum gets better :) |

i thought the post count was good for couple reasons, but oh well its not going to change anything for me so i dont care thats its off
only thing is now i wont know exactly when i can change that Supreme TranceAddict to my personalized one :rolleyes: :p |

if you go into your profile you can still see your post count, it still counts your posts its just not visible to other people. so once you hit 400 you should still be able to change it.

don't really care about the number of posts, been here almost a year and only about 400 posts total, compared to some ppl who have 400 posts in like a month!!!!.....i'm not here to post dumb and rack up my post count....i'm here for my interest in trance music, and it really is kinda addicting......always new stuff to read and respond to!!!.....
anyways, good move on Swamper's part!....now we'll see who the real "Post Hunters" are!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

quite frankly, i think the opposite is gonna happen. like you said with no post count visible underneath the name and with added posts to the count in the chill out, my gut feeling is that people will actually spend less time creating useless replies/threads. why? because like you said earlier in this thread, their motivation is gone. there's no more point in making those useless posts. hopefully thats what will happen. i'd rather have a slower but better quality of activity in these forums. |

If a newbie comes here they shouldn't determine the quality of a person's post/thread based solely upon the number of posts they have. |

because the mods are still here. and post count is not gone... just "hidden".

I've been on this board for quite some time now. And I have to say I never actually noticed the crazy posts and that were going on. I never noticed the controversy which was taking place. A strange part of me enjoyed the posts count, I just found them interesting. heh
I've always thought this site to be top notch and I always recommend it to all trance fans out there. Swamper don't let rave politics get to ya, just smile, sit back and enjoy the hard work you've put into this site.
On that note I'll see all you Toronto peeps out at Ferry on sat I hope. Woop Woop!
