Aaron- keep in mind that even if Bushis an idiot, he has HUNDREDS of people working below him that are fully capable of making up false terrorist threats, even if he is not. It's in their best interest to keep him looking good so they keep their positions in office as well.
I'm not sure if there is a conspiracy going on, but if there was, it could easily be planned by others in office. He can't do it all on his own- no president can. |

| Im no conspiracy theorist but i saw a video with extremely convincing evidence that the pentagon attack never even happened. Two hours of hair raisng facts. Far more eye opening than any michael moore film. Just because George Bush is dumb doesnt mean the people behind him are. |

IMO, I don't think that Bush is a moron or stupid....he's just a very astute son with the dirty power of the (Bush) purse (ahem...in case you still don't get it....it's daddy and friends) controlling and manipulating situations to keep him in power.
I'm surprised at you....if I'm not mistaken tatgirl was raised in USA and I grew up there too....and even I know that politically the only ones to be accepted by the Bush's were always the Conservatives. Hell Mulroney was invited to his daughters wedding in 2000 so WTF are you talking about? |

As Nat mentioned...it's not just BUSH running the show (if he's even running it at all, lol). There's a whole institution around him that is easily capable of manipulating the public. Do any of us have any access to the terrorist "chatter" and information that the U.S. gov't and various agencies do? NO! So when they issue an alert, the public has little other option than to believe them or not, based on what they tell us. We can't "look it up" ourselves, lol. If you actually think that there is ZERO chance that they'd use that to their advantage, well...I can't help ya then ;)
The LIBERALS are turning us into America Jr.? Are you kidding me??? The Liberal gov't was RIPPED by opposition parties for not joining the "coalition of the willing", for example.
Recent Liberal PMs from Trudeau to Chretien to Martin have done the exact OPPOSITE of what you are suggesting...they have consistently and intentionally maintained a distance from the U.S. on various issues, which is a HUGE reason why I support them.
$50 says that there is a MAJOR threat, if not a foiled attack (or even a successful one) shortly before the election. I'm not suggesting the Bush administration will necessarily orchestrate it (not an attack, but a threat, sure) but they'll jump at the chance to reap the political rewards from it...either that or they "suddenly" capture Osama or someone high up. mark my words ;) |

A lot of you really don't get it do you? "America Jr." doesn't have anything whatsoever to do with U.S. relations or U.S. policy. It's a phrase used to describe a country that looks a little bit like the USA, when you ignore the high taxes, low wages, high cost of living, weak currency, pathetic military, and downright ridiculous foreign and immigration policy. It's the sign of a supremely corrupt government and even some of my "Liberal" friends admit that it's starting to look "second-world' lately. You think we're so much better than the USA on the international front? Why don't you look up how many Canadian soldiers have gone on U.N. peacekeeping missions since the 1990s: ZERO.
Why don't you guys do something useful and dig up dirt on the Canadian Liberal government instead. Trust me on this one, there is lots and lots to uncover. Whatever mistakes Bush has made, I haven't heard any news to the effect that Americans feel he has lowered their quality of life.
As per the conspiracy, it doesn't matter whether you're taking about Bush or his "minions". It does not logically follow that someone is lying simply because it would be advantageous for them to lie. We usually look for something called *proof* when making such accusations, but I guess proof is irrelevant in the Michael Moore world of Bush Bashing, right? |

If you think that the there is lots and lots to uncover of our corrupt Liberal govt. then why don't you enlighten us? IMO you just don't realize yet how corrupt the Conservatives are (or you've chosen to ignore it).
OMG dude, why are you like that? What line of work are you in that has blinded you this way. It can't be politics cuz you'd be more careful of what you say. I've worked in and around govt. offices, for lawyers/crown and in the system....the corruption is two folds. Not one party hasn't got a skelaton in it's closet. I'm not going to bore you with historical facts and data bcuz I've already done this at past and if you want to crossref then go ahead...but seeing how you are....I doubt you'd want to cuz you can only see it one way.

Just wondering, do you even realize that Canada is half a trillion dollar in debt compared to the 2.5 trillion USA debt? Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and show me who's more corrupt?
Wish I had a trillion dollars in my bank account. I could do a lot more good then some Politicians, backbenchers and lobbyists. But then, who knows how things will turn out...I mean you talk the big talk about lowered quality of life and you don't even know that the reason you have a quality of life is because of the Liberals in power.
