Actually, Canada is ranked 5th I believe as a "Christian target" to some fanatic groups out there.

1. America
2. Britain
3. Spain
4. Australia
5. Canada.

Yes and the only country that hasnt been attacked or had an attack attempted on it is Canada. Thats scary. We are pretty dumb and naive if we think we are safe.

USA - Sept 11
Britain - Shoe bomber (caught on a plane with a bomb)
Spain - Madrid train bombing
Australia - Bali Nightclub bombing... hundreds of australians dead
Canada - ???????

I don't feel dumb or naive. All of those above countries you mentioned, contributed troops to the war in Iraq. We however, refused to join the US unless the UN went along with it. Why would they attack us? How are we lumped into the same pile as those above countries?
Jayx1
We were in the first gulf war and afghanistan. And afghanistan is where the terrorists were, NOT Iraq.

Thanks for the update. But you don't see the terrorists threatening us do you? They're threatening Italy, Korea, Phillipines, guess what, they're all in Iraq right now, they're all taking part in it. You honestly think this has something to do with the Gulf War 10 years ago, and we're somehow next on the list?
Jayx1
No, but afghanistan yes. And in one of Osama's famous speeches he listed canada as a target. Target #5 in the same said list in fact.

So yes i do see terrorist threatening us. We are just too stupid to realize it. Ask any american on sept 10 2001 if it could ever happen there. I hope you now get my point.

No I don't get your point, but please, spare me the explanation.

...I'm not saying the USA doesn't have a bad track record, and I'm definitely not saying that Bush is a saint, but everyone seems to base their opinion of America on a few bad leaders. The media emphasizes the evil doings of a few political figures - so everyone, in the safety net that is Canada - establishes a negative view of America. Well, political figures of the USA are about .00000001% of the population. America has it's good aspects and has helped the world in many ways...

I think there's confusion between those of us who dislike the Bush Administration and those who brand us as "hating America/Americans" in general as a result. There isn't even necessarily a connection between those two things.

Who actually hates "America/Americans" in general? I don't think many people do...I don't even hate them for voting in Bush...they have my sympathy though ;)

Exactly... so many ppl are trailing off on that ppl hate America in general.. the beef is with the Bush admin, not the whole country.

And yes, Canada was listed as a target by the Terrorists, and I completely agree with Jayx1.. its a shame that some people wont feel that we mihgt be in danger until after something happens? Thankfully there are precautions being taken to hopefully avoid an attack.

^^^ no no...it's just that they can't tell us what the evidence is or from where they got it...you know, for security reasons...so we should just *trust* them.

yeah, right  :stongue:

lol... actually, they did come out and say it... that were "misinformed"... but ur right, we never saw or knew about this evidence that they did have, and just had to "trust" them.

Well, theres another election, if Bush isn't out of office, i'd be VERY surprised

pauk
the only "terrorist thread" that i see for the USA(and the whole world) is that dumbass Bush being the president for another 4 years!!!!
