Actually the book is edited by many modern day scholars who feel fit for us to read the compact sized bible we buy in stores and read at schools (for those made to). So while they didnt write it, you have to remember, that alot of the stuff that we dont get to read and the broken telephone thing is a good idea of how exaggerated many things could of been. Afterall most of the bible was written well a few hundred years afterwards of most events (while most events in the old testament cant even be proven to have ever happened), except the new testament, which was still a long time after his death that it was written down finally by the "four". |

Orbax is right (of course) - they didn't write it. Moses edited most of the first books, and the Apostles wrote most of the New Testament (Luke followed Paul around, documented) - some of the books are letters from the Apostles (1&2 Corinthians) - Revelation was written by John, etc. Although it's true some have an unknown author, or many authors.
FF, what you are talking about actually happened. There was a version of the Bible (originated in like 400 AD or something) called the Alexandrian version. They took a bunch of stuff out and skewed a bunch of stuff in the Bible. Although it's been agreed that the basic message still gets across, it still makes a bunch of changes that are just... wrong, I guess. Scarey thing is, this version actually circulated into somewhat modern versions of the Bible - and it wasn't until the Dead Sea scrolls were found they could tell which version was actually correct. (Alexandrian or Gutenberg or whatever) |
I hope you know that there is actually no evidence of a man named Moses, or of the 40 year trek through the desert to find the promised land, by a bunch of enslaved jews. So there are no books of Moses like your talkin about. |

I guess they aren't bad if you hop off the bandwagon and get something different. - different material, different look but similiar. Yah.. goodluck finding that! They all wear the knitted ones. I can see them for miles and miles and miles. |
