Damn, I just checked and the show is 21+
Oh well. If I'm in town on the 18th and this party is still on...I would go. I'll have to see where I'll be then.
I'll check back.

hey...dave yes i do still have those speakers...but they can't be plugged directly into a mixer...they gotta go thru something with those +/- wires (i'm kind of retarded when it comes to names). the thing is they're kind of small...like...you really wouldn't be able to party with them...all tho i was bumpin pretty loud at that house party...

| COunt me in along with 2 or 3. I'd love to spin(of course letting the priorities goes first), and I won't bail even if AVB or Marcus ain't goin. |

Is this still open to TAs?
Its too bad Huntington Beahc is so far away...I would be happy to offer my place for the event. Its just me and my brother in this 2-story house |

Me + 2
I say no alcohol, mainly because a majority of people will be driving over to the show.
I say guest list would work best, because who knows where this is going to spread to by the 18th, other forums might get word of this, get the address, and get their own ideas of showing up to see these two dj's. Who knows...
Hmm...anyone call cinespace yet? They have a nice sized vip room, dont know how much it would cost to rent, imma call em. |

i would vote for alchol since i'm not gonna be able to go to the show, but i don't need it to have fun, so it's gonna end up being orbital's decision.
bas, what you need is either a pro dj amp, or a multi channel home stereo amp, either one should work fine. i tried this thing where i had my car subs attached to a 100 watt RMS home theatre reciever and it was bumping ok. if anybody has a decent reciever, like 200-300 watts RMS, and would like to volunteer it for the party, then we'd have a safer system...
hey bladerunner, what part of huntington beach, i used to live there, and a few of my friends still do (dj_bas), maybe we can throw down a house party later, entertainment will already be provided (me & dj_bas)... |

But in the future if anything happens in Long Beach or OC...our house is open. I live w/ my bro in a fairly spacious place |
man that's pretty damn far. We'll have to take off by the time it starts.
| quote: | | Orbital32: When you say 60-70 people can fit into your place, is that a comfortable 60-70 people, or is that a stuffed 60-70 people |
Well i can fit abour 40-50 people nicely, i have a town house. With that i should also suggest i live in a house, not walmart. you'll find parking, just some people may do a little walking. Nobody else everminded though.
| quote: | Attendance: At the time of this update, the count is approaching the mid-40s. Orbital32 has said that the place can hold 60-70 people if necessary. For Armin's & Markus' sake, I think we might want to keep the place from getting too packed. Anyone have any idea of how we should control attendance? As lame as it sounds, anyone think it might be a good idea to keep a list and only let those on it in the house? We might want to consider a cutoff point on the number of people on the list if we do something like that. IF YOU HAVE NOT CLEARLY SAID YOU WOULD COME, YOU ARE NOT AND WILL NOT BE ON ANY LIST. Waiting to find out from Orbital32 how packed the place would be with 60-70 people in it, if it's a comfortable level or if it's kinda stupid packed.
Food/Drinks: Because I don't really want to have this end up being a party where someone ends up having the burden of spending money for food and drinks, I'd say the best idea would to ask everyone to bring drinks and snacks (chips, pretzles, whatever).

Yeah, i'm not releasing my info to the general public of course. I do agree wit h a "guest list"
regarding alcohol... while i usually don't care, it'll probably be a good idea to stay from. I mean why none of my parties have ever been busted, i don't think Amrin and Mike would like be spending the night in the slammer. (maybe we could get a TA prison tattoo? :D ) hahahhahaa. Besides most will probably be heading out afterwards. Being trashed when going to Spundae will probably not be that kewl. But let me know what you guys think.
oh and i can get a amp |

Yes it is..hence my hesitation. But anytime there is something in OC/LongBeach my place is open for all hehe
As for alcohol..I think it should be ok as long as we have anough capable drivers who wont drink ;)
that is if this thing goes through |

OK, I am going to keep the current list where it is...if we get this finalized, I will create an official rollcall list...and essentially, the first 45 people or so who sign up would get on the list and we'd need to make sure their + count is SOLID and not some guess or possibility...since this is a part for the TA's, one thing we need to decide on is if what happens when we are at max compacity and it comes between letting a TA be able to come or some other TA's friend (guest), who's not a TA...that would be a bit unfair for that TA, wouldn't it?
Also, I think I might have access to an amp if needed.

yeah, sounds good to me dave,
just make sure that those of us volunteering time/space/equipment don't get left out (i'm talking for those offering backups) unless they expressly say they're not coming...
when and if you get a list started, sign me up! |

| if it comes down to alcohol being allowed, sign me up for a designated driver for 4 other people...unless 2 or 3 want to pack in the very back of my yukon...But dont count on me to stay sober enough to drive you guys back home. Im notorious for walking to a nearby hotel/motel for a room for the night. |
