I think society is catching up with itself. We are reaping the rewards of the politically correct, complain about everything, but sweep it under thr rug mentality.
Until we have the balls to take on the issues the way they need to be handled we will further sink into oblivion.
Cut the crap, call a spade a spade and lets deal with the homeless, poverty, and bloody takeover of condominiums.
How many tourist ventures, historic buildings, nightclubs and restaurants have we lost recently to condos?
The city needs to get with it and start opening casinos and maybe even starting a properly zoned entertainment district like they did in Cleveland (the flats). |

Everyone i know seems to be leaving this city. Mostly they are headed for BC. I think this city is in a terrible crisis. I first started to notice decline in 2000 and its been headed downhill since. At this rate we will be Detroit within 10 years.
Somewhere along the way the Politically correct paradigm of thinking caught up with the real world and we are now reaping the rewards. |

Whites move to the suburbs to escape

China's oil comsumption expanded the entire size of the US in ONE YEAR!
This is why they say the gas prices have risen so steeply.
Imagine how much construction must be goin on in China! Imagine the multi-millionaires being made daily there. The money to be made right now is definately in China! |

HAHAHAHA you cant even compare toronto to detroit..u cant even compare toronto to in washington DC. u cant compare toronto to any ghetto in the US...i think u need to take a trip to the US and walk outside on the real mean streets..toronto is compared to these places..u have no clue....toronto has got to be one of the safest capital cities in this world! dont ever do that again..u sound like a by that doesnt leave the city much...media blows things out of proportion...theres prolly 10x more murders per week in detroit and they dont even talk abt them in the news cause they happen soo much..this doesnt happen much in toronto so ur gonna hear abt it.. |

Um i used to drive down Gratiot twice a week on the way to record time. I know all about Detroit and its ghetto ways. I never said Toronto was like it presently but we are sure on the way to becoming it. |
