I always thought Military Gizz was a cool name for a hipster band.
But the tattoo started in prison as a scare tactic for the bikers and such to use. It has evolved a lot more since then, now you really need one to be a part of a white prison gang but the tattoo that is more forbidden in prison by anyone but white people is the Clover.
If you go to prison and have one because you are Irish or think it's for good luck, you will be asked to have it covered up or get shanked or if you're already involved with that stuff you'll just join in the gang like a normal person would. The Clover is the real serious tattoo even more than the Nazi symbol on the inside especially if you put a 6 on three of the leaves.... 666.
The Clover was used to as a symbol to teach other cultures that spoke different languages. It was basically an iconography tool and as I don't know the full story of when, where and why all I can say is the Clover is what the white gangs really look for at least on the inside which has different politics than your basic skinhead on the outside that just likes marching with flags and talking about how they wish Hitler was their father. |
