Today marks a very sad day in history when the twin towers of the world trade centre buildings in New York City were attacked by terrorists. Many innocent people lost their lives going about their usual business and morning routines. I would like to light a candle for the occasion, and for everyone that has been touched by this horrible tragedy.

It was a surreal day...I remember being out on a break at work when a co-worker came out and said there were reports that a plane crashed into one of the WTC buildings...then someone else came out and said a 2nd one hit...tv was on in the cafeteria from then on...with no one really knowing what was happening during this chaos.
A horrible day...no doubt.
Here's hoping the Bush administration gets voted out of office for their ineptitude and lies surrounding this terrible event. |

| On 680 news I heard that a poll just recently conducted in Canada states that 98% of canadians remember what they were doing the exact time they heard the news about the attack on the towers. Still very unbelieveable to me...even after this much time has past. Definitely something that we will never forget. My thoughts are definitely with the families of the victims today. |

Because of the incident that happened a few years back - my life Really took a turn for the worst, and made my life go in a totally different direction. I was working at a major hotel in Toronto and as you all must know tourism in Toronto was as affected as everywhere else around, because people were scared to travel by airplane. Tours and reservations were cancelled and all. All in all… I got laid off about 3 weeks later from sept 11th(wishing probably I literally got laid – lord know I do now! HA HA) *~* ...life took a turn
Anyways, then I didn’t work for 11 months and luckily had a place to crash.
Decided to leave Toronto and moved to Korea for a year and a half and taught English to little kids…. Fun I suppose, but for sure a fork in the road was given to me when Sept 11th 01 happened.
I remember waking up that morning to the TV or radio saying “the pentagon has been blown up” I was sleepy, but quickly turned on the television.
T’was the night before the twin towers Burning down…
Read about Nostradamus… his predictions are pretty weird.. well that’s about all I have to say about that.
.
I wish everyone well that was affected by this and trust me it affected everyone!~:( |

That poll about people remembering what they were doing is true. I was walking to Philosophy class (stupidest ever) on the Tuesday morning and saw the first tower burning and smoking on TV in the lounge. I didn't think much of it, so I carried on to class, the prof excused us to see what was happening, and I came back to the lounge with my friend just in time to see the second plane hit. Utter disbelief...a few people were crying around me too.
I'll never forget the conversation I had with an Arab guy from my high school whom I saw on the bus at about noon. He said he was glad it happened to the USA.
Of course, it was a terrible tragedy that killed innocent people...but Americans reap what they sow unfortunately. It was a sad payback for all the meddling they've done for the last century. It still doesn't make it right. |

LOL @ arek!
yea it's sad, but i don't know why we feel we have to always be sad from then on on this day...
as for me i was working afternoon shifts at that time.. woke up around 1pm and went online to an internet chat... i saw someone talking about "blowing up the world trade centres with jets" and said "wow, sounds like a pretty cool game! what's it called?" and was immediately banned..
then i found out it was actual ...
then when i went into work people were like "did you hear what happened?" and i would reply "no i live under a rock!" and they'd just look at me funny...
