Space IS a genre. And YES, Smooth Jazz is not electronic, thats why I noted "MOSTLY ELECTRONICA" in that post. ///

Best known examples for genre of music called "Space" would be such well-known artists like Jean Michel Jarre (http://www.jarre.co.uk/)and Vangelis. Amazing type of music, and its NOT Ambient. There's a big difference.
:p

... or maybe it just mutated? Unless you got a more precise scientific explanation, that response is unappreciated

I'm not gonna turn this into a genre argument. I don't care much for pop music but why try to stop people from talking about it. Beastie Boys and Green Day are far more relevant than Fake IDs, 12-year-old immigrants talking about Yugoslavia, the latest news from the Chillout room, RJ's morning routine, Scorpions and FIDO. Not that I have any problem hearing about those either, but it seems to me if you're going to attack things that don't directly have to do with EDM then you're better off concentrating on the stuff that's totally irrelevant and not the stuff that's somewhat relevant.

In other words, grow up, and I just noticed this but what in god's name was all that stuff about being a single virgin and leading an active lifestyle? :stongue: I still haven't figured out why you brought that up.

twas a quote from an interview with Marilyn Manson

you said you've converted several friends to trance and house right? well they must have been open-minded enough to give trance a chance. You should be open enough to give mainstream a chance. There's a ton of crap out there from mainstream and underground, but there's also a lot of gems

You totally ... "messed up" this response ... That is, by replying in such matter, you are only raising more questions than solutions. Yes, this thread has veered off a bit ... but thats not the point, is it? Beastie Boys and Incubus are irrelevant to these forums because they do not represent the values and interests of these forums as a whole ...
