Event Listings: Incubus, Beastie Boys - WHAT NEXT? (pg. 5)

sure, it makes sense in a way. but a few things...
#1 - The moderators did not sticky any "concert listings." Anyone can make an event listing.
#2 - You can go on rock forums and post trance events, or house events, or whatever. I've done it for plenty of my own events, usually they don't get a response, but it's not a big deal.
#3 - Why should it be allowed here? Because typically people who like "EDM" as you call it are more open minded than the typical douchebags who only like "mainstream" music..
#4 - Do you think that someone is going to see Incubus or the Beastie Boys concerts listed and say " trance, I'm only going to concerts now!?" No, they're not.
It's not like this is site is going to turn into a site promoting a ton of concerts, it's OKKKK.... is it really affecting your life too much? If so, maybe you take your "EDM" music is a tad too seriously!
You want people to be open minded about your music? Be open minded about theres. |

It may look stupid now, but later on if that will be the case [mainstream popularizing these forums] - just remember this thread.
There are so many VERY DUMB threads out there, this one wont be near the bottom of the list anyhow. It's an intriguing topic, to say the least. It's just a minor concern, a topic to talk about, nothing more. |

I previously stated that I myself like some mainstream. I just didnt join TA to support mainstream artists. But talking about them is fine, I have no objection whatsoever. It's just promoting their event [as in appearing on organized Events Listings page] on the website that promotes EDM events is a very dubious thing. It's not much of a deal anyways, just irritating ... |

| i've seen EDM posts on mainstream rock band forums. there's typically 1 or 2 other people who respond...but no one really says it's dumb and it's gay (of course, every forum has the guy who bashes everything right?). |
