*edit* you just bake the crushed oreos by itself for the crust? you don't add egg or anything to bond it?

welcome

and the cream from the oreos kinda helps bond it, but i usually will add some melted butter to it.

edit: ill usually just melt a couple tablespoons of butter (or margerine or country crock or whatever) in the microwave and pour it in as needed till its a nice consistency to spread in the pan.

omg this thread makes me really hungry! :stongue:

Anyways, I'll eat just about anything anyone will cook for me - I figure if they went through all that work, I might as well honor them by eating it, regardless of how it tastes! :D

If I have to order or request something at a restaurant, though...

Pasta, pasta, pasta!!! with a caesar salad on the side! And a bloomin-onion! (or equivalent) As you can tell, I really like the Outback ^^;

I also like...

Chicken Caesar Pizza
Shrimp Scampi with bowtie noodles
fried rice with anything in it (shrimp, chicken, beef, cat, beaver, etc...)
Chicken Lo Mein
garlic bread
sandwiches

I could go on, but it would just make me hungrier lol

Not a dessert freak - if it's sugary, I *might* eat it on a special occasion, but I won't be picky about that sort of thing.

Tongue has almost the same consistincy as liver, but the flavour is to die for(Totally different from liver), it's extremely rich, but all good things are.

My gran is usually the one that cooks tongue, and she only selects them if they have no black pigment, it doesn't look very nice. And we usually serve it sliced, cause a tongue the way it is doesn't look very nice either. But it's exremely delicious!!!

I went to a Bavarian Restaurant in Bakerfield, California - we were served spiced Moose tongue. It was thinly cut and delicious!

I've also tried haggus, but I thought it just tasted like sausage and oatmeal :D Nothing to brag about lol

Ok i'm gonna give you guys a recipe now, this recipe is one of the most delicious puddings there are on earth, MAKE IT! I promise that it is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan Ellis pudding:

Pre heat oven at 180 degrees C

Batter:
5ml Bicarbonate of soda
125ml milk
200 g self raising flour
100g White sugar
2 eggs
30ml apricot jam
1ml salt

Sauce:
250ml water
250ml cream
200g butter
200g white sugar
5ml vanilla essence or extract

Preparation:
Dissolve the bicarb in the milk. Mix the rest of the batter ingrd.'s and add the bicarb milk - Spoon the batter into a greased ovenproof dish and bake for 25-30 minutes(until a knife comes out clean)

mix all the sauce ingrd.'s into a saucepan stirring every now and again and bring it to the boil and remove from heat (start about 5 mintues before the pudding is ready to come out of the oven so that both are sort of ready simultaneously)

Now prick the baked pudding with a sharp object and pour the sauce over the hot pudding ladle by ladle untill you have spooned on ALL OF IT!! don't let a drop be left(it seems that there is way too much sauce but there's not).

Serve with cream

IT IS FREAKEN DELICiOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please make this someone and tell me what you think!
I don't have the imperial units but you can find them online

Ah! the metric system. I think I'm gonna need to convert everything in order to make that.

And speaking of food, I eat just about everything. So instead of posting what I like, I'll post what I don't like:

Cole slaw
Corn
Carrots
BBQ chicken (if it has a bone in it, if it;s just a breast, then it's ok)
Ribs
Chicken Paparikash
Thai food
Spicy food in general (well, I like it, but it doesn't like me back so i refrain from eating it.)
Chocolate

Theres a few others, but I can't think of them ATM.

I'll have to find the seafood enchiladas recipe. OMG, greatest enchiladas ever

I have a friend that doesn't like pizza. It's really annoying when we're figuring on what to eat and I have "the pizza craving". He never wants to eat it, and I can't drag him to a pizza place. Then I get stuck eating Wendy's again.
Spective

Scallops glazed in Jamaican rum with a tomato sauce made from scratch consisting of garlic, basil, mushrooms, and shalot.

This is a breaded italian chicken salad, everything made from scratch as usual, including the breading. The croutons are made from sweet rolls sliced into thin pieces and braised with garlic olive oil, chopped basil, and parmesan cheese. The vinagrette and pesto sauce is also my own.

This is probably the most popular dish Ive made it. Its a salmon pepper jack quesadilla with shallot, tomato, and other secret goodies

This may look plain, but its quite tasty and time consuming to make. The pasta is actually made from scratch by me. Its cooked in butter, olive oil, and fresh lime juice. Garnished with parsley

This is the most popular breakfast food Ive served. It is my cinammon almond french toast :)

Ive taught myself how to cook. I have a lot of ideas that come to me at weird times - whether it be in the shower, in the car, or in bed. Though if I ever come up with a recipe while Im taking a , I know its a sign not to cook it.

I'll be opening a website called Food Mischef.com where people can watch me cook in real time.
