| Everything is starting to sound more complex. I think there will be a new ultimate trance like nothing ever heard before. All sounds will be new, different and unique and we become more technologically advanced. |

| if I knew what the next big thing would be, I'd be already planning on how to beat the market to it and make me rich. |

| I'm saying labels are always trying to predict this, so they can be the first to move something to market. I'm saying that no one really knows and if I did, I would not tell a soul and I'd be trying make my fortune off it already. |

I love it how the depth of the sound in the EDM genre gets better and better due to the advance in synthesiser technology.
Like newskool happy hardcore synths (even if you dont like it) now sound allot better than the old hardcore synths (i say sounds even if it is not better) |

What advancements have been made in synthesizer technology in the past 14 years? |

Hmmm, I think it would be electro, it's coming up strong here already...
And more 'progressive' trance (as in Holden with Balance 005)/melodic breaks. Stuff like that... |

Often you need to look at the past to see the future and having a look through the last 30 years or so of edm, I'm trying to work out which haven't had the most airtime in recent years.
My tip is on minimalistic tunes to be dominating our airwaves in years to come. Perhaps a mix of a few different genres, and perhaps we might get some up tempo acid trance tracks to groove to.
Most people when looking to the future, especially with music, feel that innovation and new ideas are in store, but this often is not the case. Usually its old stuff that is made new again that gets people interested.
The only thing I really hope for in the future of music is that the totally music that is r & b dies a swift permanent death. All that crap sounds the same and the filmclips are black guys wearing stupid clothes with chicks in bikinis all around, and most of the lyrics are about telling each other how good they are. Unfortunately this music dominates the airwaves world wide. |
