| It would appear that I got lucky - I only look marginally buggered (which was of course a result of the music, what did you think I was talking about). |

Or could it be everyone was just overwhelmed by the music and it caused eye popping!?!? I think i have the correct theory. |
Amen to that brotha floorwhore.
Now my turn:
helloo..... I have finally come back from la la land- trust me, when you have had the kind of weekend I've had, you too would need a bit o time to recuperate- NOT that I am complaining.
Yup! It has been a marvelous weekend- it started at System on Friday night- FAWK! you should see firs3start3r tear up a little spot on that dancefloor  I want what u had! It was Erica's birthday, how could I not go? Actually the first time I have gone solely to hang with a bunch of Tas- I must say it was a pleasant warm up for what was to be Danny T.
:eyespop:
Fastforward to Sunday Oct. 10/04 venue: Docks DJ: Danny Tenaglia.
We got there a bit later than expected.... at 11.30pm. Line up to get in quickly made me feel somewhat encouraged as this was a new venue for a party for me. Got in without a hitch! coat check was a bitch!hahaha I rhyme well:p
Anyways, I HAVE experienced Danny at BOA and I get goose bumps everytime I think of that night. So naturally I had expectations and I am happy report that 90% of them were met. and I am one happy party child indeed. A few hilights below will prolly paint a nice picture for you all -
-The staff was friendly and courteous enough.
-The sound system while good is no comparison to Boa.
-Luv the patio, must've been nice in the summer.
-The music, well I think I have heard pretty much every mix by Danny T., I know he can do better- not that I wouldn't jump at the chance of seeing him again.
-The company, well- how shall I say this..... ABSOLUTELY SMASHING! hilight of the night! Having a TA tell me how much she absolutely adores me and baby gurl! I luv you too! you are always my anchor on dance floors. Plus meeting many other TAs , Drew Factor, Callie5, newr, Diginut.(sorry to hear you were not well. All in all we in danced up a storm-friends and strangers alike. I mean did you see Cuzo on that dancefloor???? Your energy never ceases to amaze me!
***** The beer someone handed me at 11 am was simply out of this world, I was sooooo thirsty and sooo tired of drinking crappy water.
Well!!! There was a cloud of cheesy positive energy hanging over The Docks that night and I for one was glad to be a part of it.
I think I speak for an overwhelming majority when I say that Danny T RAWKED our world that night!!! R E S P E C T.
Neeta.

This was one great night.
Danny: My god, he really is a magician. He definitely exceeded my expectations in every way. Amazing talent, great attitude, and unbelievable endurance. I have become and instant fan, his set overtook a previous from Richie Hawtin as the most creative set I've heard live.
The Docks: First time in 3 years I see the place, and boy, what a transformation. I think they've done a great job overall and it's quite a nice space for a big party now. Despite the crowd, you could still find some places where there was space to dance, unlike the Guv. And you can't beat that amazing patio with the awesome view of the city.
The vibe: so so. There were definitely many cool people there, but also many not so friendly ones. Oh, and the concentration of shirtless guys was somewhat irritating. I don't get it, why do clubs allow people to take off their shirts? Whatever happened to "no shoes, no shirt, no admission"?
BTW, it seems like I missed a bunch of you including tara, jenna_rae, RJ, Ray and more. Darn. |

Well I might as well write my late mini-review : this was a great party...it was a tough choice not seeing Armin at Guv but I've seen him many times this year and I had never heard Danny before so I wanted to try something different.
The crowd was obviously different from a 'Trance' crowd - it was older but that did not take anything away from the vibe or the party... In fact, it's pretty much a given that anyone that was there was there to party it up as I saw many faces I hadn't seen in years (including one guy who was only here for the weekend for thanksgiving since he lives in the UK and told me there was no way he'd miss an Industry reunion).
As for the rude people, I didn't encounter any but then I wasn't in the middle of the crowd all night long either..
Shout outs to all the usual suspects ;) |

| Del - I tried to find you. Did a few laps, gave up. I see your friend Jeff more than I see you these days... |
