Oh MAN. What a night.

First time seeing anyone at Icon, 2nd time seeing Ferry live.

I came. I saw. I partied. I heard my song. I nearly collapsed. Enough said.

I had a great time.

I was also the only one to drive up from South Florida. History was made again, just like 4/25 with the BBQ @ James' house and Alpha Bar.

Full review coming later tonight.

Oh btw, I love Icon. I know it's small, I know there's hardly ever a massive turnout, but I think that's what makes it special. You recognise everyone, even if you don't know their name. Like the guy in the ponytail- we've all seen him a million times! And the vibe is just so freaking fantastic! Everyone is there for the same reason, to have a blast at an EDM show, since we rarely get them. Since it's such a small place, every DJ that we've seen there has been able to connect with the crowd, take requests, take pictures, and just pump up the place. If any of you looked at Ferry's face, you would see he was having a friggin' blast, huge crowd or small crowd, and that's because all of us were there for the music.

i agree, every show ive seen at icon has been good, all three oakie shows ive seen there, and the tiesto show at icon was one for the ages. has a very intimate vibe and ambiance about it. one of the few remaining beacons of edm in o town.

Ferry opened with Kyoto.

Then others, in no particular order:

No One on Earth (G&D remix)
Syneasthesia 2004 (Ferry remix)
Somebody (F. Massif remix)
Rock your Body, Rock
Right of Way

Closing 2 songs:

Punk
Out of the Blue.

And...

He played...

...Force of Gravity. :eyespop:

If I remember any more I'll re-edit this post.

Could we cut the drama ? This is for reviews and pics.

And speaking of pics, the following were taken by Damon but saved to my memory cards. Thx, Damon. I owe ya.

Ferry on the decks @ ICON:

Amber, Colleen, Sara & Hope:

Amber, Terry & Myself:

Phil & ? (I didn't get this guy's name.)

I Can't wait to see the rest!

Yep. There was. More of a chill time for everyone. Just talking, BSing, pic-taking, you know the good stuff. Phil and James spun for a little bit while we talked with Ferry. I can't wait to see pics from there.

You were missed, Pat!

Yea the turnout was small, but everyone in the place KNEW their music. Which was why there was a great vibe. But Ferry is the ing man.

Ferry did play a lot of his own tracks. And you know what?

I wish he played even more of them.

It's in Ferry! Why wouldn't he play his own tracks?!? And I still can't believe he played Tenshi, I love that song to death :D , even though I know some people don't feel the same way about it, and there was a pretty big risk in playing it.

IIRC Tiesto played a lot of his own stuff when he came here. The difference being the times their albums came out, and when they came to town.

Anyway, I NEED to go to Space for Ferry.

Full review still to come! :D

DiMethGuy
did he play his Flashover remix of Sweet Sorrow, or It's Time?

just curious if he did...wanna calculate what speed I'll be driving my car into a brick wall later today for missing this. The more of my favorites he played, the faster the car will be going. Right now I'm up to 112mph
