I think in the comments made about CNN, it has been proven that they are not always correct with their information. That's why I actually feel sorry for all you American citizen, because you get treated the same way a the inhabitants of Middle-Eastern countries....CNN is a newschannel using propaganda to keep you from thinking yourself and gathering your own information. I've come to the point that I feel that you guys and girls can't help it that you believe so strongly in your America....it has been shoved down your throats ever since you were born...in fact, I am questioning all media...what if all the newschannels show you the wrong information? Where would you have to go to see what's really true? /me sighs |

You are arguing here simply for argument's sake. Regardless what I say and what evidence I give you, you'll still be arguing just to say "no" to something. If I tell you that CNN, an internationally acclaimed world leader in news, posts some information, you'll automatically say "no" to that as well.
Fine, I can give you a Russian ITAR-TASS post of that as well. Only I doubt you'll be able to read Russian. Do you want me to give you a Dutch site too? I can do that... Or better yet, the independent source, Associated Press or Reuters.
You just want to object and say "no" -- and how is that not brainwashing, either? Only this time you're washing your brain. |

media might say the same everywhere, but that still doesnt mean the media is telling the truth, or the whole truth, the media just tells us what they want us to know, nothing more... the Pakistani could have been threatened for all we know, there is so much going on in the world none of us know of, iz scary... |

Then where pray tell, do people in Holland get their news from, cause it appears that you two are INFINITELY more informed than anyone who dares argue against you, yet the news is bull. Can you honestly say that rumor, word of mouth and general opinion that sway in your favor is ANY better than propaganda? late/ |

Its damn right that if some other country has the power america has it would be quite the same, because all this hunt for money is unfortunately some human instinct or something like that. Even here at switzerland we have some sorts of these groups like UBS, who refused to give the money at the right time and now swissair collapsed and hundreds of people are without work.
It somwhat doesnt make sense to argue with most americans, because as I can understand, they have a good life and no reason to not thrust their government cos they never had problems caused by them (at least not obvious ones). Just one thing: If you find some time, just read some books who are critical about your government. some things may not be right, others are. |

I'm not even native-born American, I came here a few years ago..
I agree, by the way, that America's foreign policy is troublesome and needs to be changed. It's when people start saying stupid things they know nothing about, that I get annoyed. |
