| it’s both of their faults. and if your mom knows in her heart that she doesn’t love him any more, then she’s right for not bothering w/ the counseling. when you don’t love someone, it’s simple….you don’t love them anymore. so why would you try to work it out? it’s better that they split up, because they’ll be happier, and that’s what you want, right? it’ll be hard at first, but in the end, it’s for the best. after a while, they might even be friends. |

Does love really go away, though? The passion may die, but love can exist without passion - that's actually when it's in its purest form. We all like to think of love as a logical feeling with a little bit of desire mixed in, but could this intense feeling just go away, especially after 20 years?
Have any of YOU known anybody for 20+ years? :confused:
Maybe that's jsut the thing... we just get bored after knowing somebody for so long. Life becomes too predicatable. It's sad, really - that people limit themselves to a routine. I've seen too many lives ruined by predictability - it's all around us.
Maybe your parents should check out some of the sex thrads in the COR? Might get some new ideas. :stongue: |

| when there is bitterness and resentment in the relationship, then yes, it goes away...maybe not for good. i mean, i suppose with a lot of work and effort, it COULD come back. it's just a matter of if they WANT it to, or if they think it'll be worth it. |

Gwahahahahaha. You're right, though: his mom is probably too ugly, so no one would pay for that. But she could always volunteer to be a test subject. That's what your mom did and she ended up with the little bundle of joy that is you! |
