so yeah... today was their 20th anniversary and my dad gave my mom a card and money. the card said inside that they should attend marraige counseling, but my mom says that she doesnt love him anymore, so she's not even going to bother. Basically they've spent 5 years living in the same house, but sleeping in different beds. my dad would get off work at 5 and then go to a bar till 8 or 9. whenever he is home, he spends his time in the basement alone watching tv. basically my dad is a lazy who spends his time with himself, but he actually made an effort to try and turn things around, so im kinda pissed my mom wont try and go for it.....
i really dont know what to do.

sorry to hear man, if you want try to get them to hear out each other's differences and try marriage counselling, but there's only so much you can do, its up to them for the most part...take care holmes. |

| Sucks man, but you dont seem to broken up about it. Hope everything goes the best for you. Remember both your parents are people too, and as deserving of your love/compassion as you were of theirs as they raised you... |

No problem. If your mother needs some extra cash after the divorce, you should remind her that prostitution is always an option. |
wtf, dont be a ing , for s christ :whip:
imo, your parents are selfish for wanting to separate. They may not love each other, but there should be someone that should both love, if you know what i mean, which is why its best for parents to stay together. best of luck. |

| well i've lived with them long enough where they have basically been split up, but both of them have been around and been there for eachother when something trajic happens (death in family, etc) but my dad actually suggested counselling, which is a HUGE improvemtn in my opinion. if you knew him like i do, you would know that that is so much more than what he usually would do, which is nothing. it just upsets me that my mom isnt going to atleast try. they're getting older and i want the best for them, which is eachother. it doesnt hurt my so much, just cause im kind of used to this kind of stuff around the house, but its more how they're handling it. i guess in a sense, my dad deserves it.... jeez. |
