I wish it was as simple as you just explained but the converstion was much detailed than that Spek. That comment from lane was made after I said I cant stand this and I quit.

I am the same way i really have an open mind and i really do feel strong on censorship. But it is liked this this situation is like telling ur boss to go lick balls and not get fired,u should expect some term of anger come back and i dont feel u should quit becuze of this soo dont go blaming party 107 for u quitting. |

I didnt tell lane or the owners of party107 to 'lick my balls'. I said I can not compromise my characher and as a result felt that quiting was the best opition.
I felt that my fans and followers of the show needed an explaination why it would air in the future. Thus reason for the post.
Also to bring attention to the political bull that exist even in the EDM community. |

I have my own show on college radio and if they told me what I could and could not say outside of the FCC regulations, I would quit because, like Dave, I would never compromise my free speech or my integrity as a DJ and as a person. Dave did not tell Markus to go lick balls, that would be offensive. He said that Markus's style was getting boring. And it seems like the people who were most offended were fans of Markus and they were the ones telling him not to speak out like that again. And if those are the people running the station, then I can see why he would not want to work with them. |

This is exactly what I am trying to say.
Without my character or my beleifs what am I ? Nothing.
When I speak and voice an opinion I want people to respect the intergrity of those words. I want people to understand that these are the indeed the words of Dave Piazza not some political tool.
I dont want to come on TA or any other forum and kiss some DJ's or producer's ass just because the radio station I work for is affliated with him, especially if I think he sucks.
Sometimes in your life you have to make tough decsions. Decisons that define you as a person. I made my decision today and feel proud of myself for it. |

well I've been absent when all of this happened... I honestly and truely don't know... everyone one here is bashing a station that probable none of them even tune in to or chat with us on a regular basis. TIGERCLAW for one does not run this station and he will never have say so on how we run our station! If for some freaking reason this happens... belive me people I will! I have no beef with Marcus Schulz or his style... it's something different I listen to and enjoy. Same for Armin. Only reason I dig those 2 shows it's for the new tunes, besides that I'm not tuned.
Dave you're here bashing Party107 staff... wtf guy, I chatted with ya and everything, that's aiight tho. What goes around comes around that's what a few people like to call "Karma".
What happened that night in the chatroom I have no clue about. If your character was hurt then I'm sorry I wasn't there to back you up and put the other Staff members in check if they were in their wrong.
We are about community and freedom to each other, we all have different taste in styles and genres. So we have to be able to be flesxible with everything.
I wish you wouldn't have quit or come this far where we peaple have to bash each others to get somewhere or make each other feel better. Any ways these are my 2 cents. |
