You shouldn't ever be told to keep your mouth shut regarding your opinion. This is the second topic on free-speech in Music Discussion now, something that's obviously a problem now. Dave has all the right in the world to speak his mind. Not every Party107 listener and his/her sister reads TA. In fact, I'm willing to bet those who listen to Party and read here make-up a fraction of it's actual listeners.
Dave voicing his opinion on Markus most likely didn't cause Markus to lose listeners. Hell, there are more vocal anti-GDJB people here than Dave, and they don't get told to shut-up. I think Tiger was just offended, and realized how he could get Dave to stop.
This is ed-up, and I hope that Dave can find a new home for his station, some place where they respect opinions.
If Tiger really did this, I'm not tuning into Party nor GDJB (because I do like the occasional guest-mix) again. |

Aiight I read enough... I think what Lane said was taken the wrong way. I belive he was trying to stop the fussing so people could relax and enjoy the set being played.
I do not think he was targetting his freedom of speech.
I apologize for not being there to try to make things better if I could have.
Besides this... I will try to handle this matter with the Owner's and the rest of the Admins of the stations cuz I for 1 I'm not happy about how this got this far.
Dave, Good luck with everything and I'm sorry this got as far as it did.

I have alot of respect for you. I also wish you the best of luck in your dj future as well. It was nice talking with you about a shared interest in dance music in the chat room. You like Mark are class acts.
However, I hope you get to read all the logs from tigerclaw, lane, and shawn written to me. You might be suprised what you see.

Why should he keep quiet about his opinions about a show that happens to be relayed on the party107 stream? It's not like Markus is Dave's boss. Dave was not out of line with his comments either. Contrary to some people's beliefs, the reason the TA forum exists is so the trance listening community can come together and share opinions on various subjects. Even browsing the boards for a few minutes will lead you to the conclusion that we have a diverse group of people with varying opinions. Just because Dave had a show on party107 shouldn't prevent him in any way from speaking his mind in a polite manner. I feel I've exhausted myself in this thread but it is hard to keep silent when there are people saying that Dave should've kept silent himself because he has a different opinion of a DJ they are standing up for. |

This is beautiful. This should be a sticky in every forum. This explains the importance of free and uncensored speech. |

Well now, I wouldn't go around flaming him in every thread. At least get the word out about this. But attacking him (although you do have good reason) in everything he posts is a bit over the top. Expose him for what he did, and call it good. |

I obviously don't know all the details of what happened here but it looks pretty ugly. Dave, if everything you say is as it appears then you did nothing wrong.
