nah i kind of agree with him, its not being insensitive its just being angry at the thoughtlessness of those that end it in that manner.
its tragic that someone has to die, but why do it in a way that will inconvenience the public and traumatise multiple people, not only does it disturb the transport system but think of the mess that has to be cleaned up and the people that have to pick up the body parts(no chance will the body remain in one piece). |
you have no idea what its like living on the streets, being addicted to drugs, probably being infected with HIV, and being given attitude like the type you are expressing in your post here all the time.
These people deserve help, not nuisance |

the person could also be a schizophrenic as well and may not take any of those factors mentioned before into consideration ..

Crazy people nowadays have it much better than before, back in medival times, they used to use them for experiments, lock them up, or just kill them for fun.
I love how the modern age insano person has progressed beyond the level of just persecution to adding self hatred in there as well. My how the times are changing... :sadgreen: |

And how do we know they weren't already being helped?
Help is best received by those that actually want help...
These people obviously thought they were beyond help (which is not anywhere near true). :sadgreen: |

oh lord... read what you just wrote. Are you serious?? For someone to even go to the subway and think of jumping infront of it shows they havent received enouigh help.
Remember.. some people dont WANT help, but actually NEED it no mater what. Like a person who would want to slaughter a bunch of people with a machine gun in a park due to his "hate" for torontonians.
To be in that state of mind to want to kill yourself and actually try and go about it is very serious.. i cant believe how insensitive some are here.

Number one way to solve this problem....
....have the trains slow down before entering the station.
wow what a concept.
At first people might not be too happy about it but I think we could get used to it.
That way the driver can stop before hitting the jumper or if they hit them they will not kill them. (or a person that might be thrown on the tracks) |

| in London (UK) they have glass barriers with doors along the edge. The train stops exactly where the doors are.. Then the train doors and glass barrier doors open in sync. Voila can't jump on the tracks. |
