oh lord... read what you just wrote. Are you serious?? For someone to even go to the subway and think of jumping infront of it shows they havent received enouigh help.

Remember.. some people dont WANT help, but actually NEED it no mater what. Like a person who would want to slaughter a bunch of people with a machine gun in a park due to his "hate" for torontonians.

To be in that state of mind to want to kill yourself and actually try and go about it is very serious.. i cant believe how insensitive some are here.

get real

I think you may have mis-read what you quoted.
There was mention that they may have already received help...

According to your post then, at what point do we know when enough is enough or not enough?
Sure we can barricade all the subways and and make super safe zones blah, blah, blah but that's not a solution and doesn't fix the real problem.

For someone to jump in front of the subway btw was also mentioned
quote:

"These people obviously thought they were beyond help (which is not anywhere near true)."

I can't believe I actually have to quote myself just to explain myself but I guess it's not that obvious... :p

My opinion had nothing to do with being insensitive.
I'm just speaking from my own experience that I've had with depressed people (not to mention my own; but that's another story).
You can help them all you want but if they're not willing to accept the help, there's nothing you can do.
It's the worst feeling when you really want to help but they just don't seem to care; you have no idea if you really are helping or not... :(

in alotta countries, specially more developing countries, ppl commit suicide all the time by jumping infront of moving trains. The train engineers are too used to it... sad but true.

if ppl wanna jump infront of trains, by my guest. I just feel sorry for the people stuck cleaning up the mess and cleaning up. The delays that it causes is pretty bad as well. Just thank God that even though i've been taking the train for 2 years now, i've never had to witness such incidents. I hope that i never do.

I always feel sorry for the train driver who pretty much can't do anything...think of the emotional problems this guy will be having after :whip:

I feel more sorry for the people (especially children) that have to witness such a horrific sight.

I saw someone jump on a cracky Sunday afternoon after Anthony Pappa @ Boa.

That was not very fun.
