yea and also ESPN did an article about the worst athletes to crossover to musicians and KOBE finished 3rd behind Deon Sanders and Denny Mclain as the worst.
EDIT : heres the article
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page3/story?page=schrager/040728
"3. Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers: "K.O.B.E." (featuring Tyra Banks)
Like Iverson, Bryant's 2000 rap album "Visions" never hit the shelves. But, unlike "Misunderstood," Kobe's "Vision" was not held back due to lewd and offensive lyrics. Columbia Records actually put the nix on Kobe's debut effort simply because it was awful.
According to The Daily Standard's Matthew Continetti,"The album was supposed to be out in March, but then they (Columbia) listened to it again, and it was so bad they put the kibosh on it."
Despite the album's premature death, the single "K.O.B.E." was released in the Spring of 2000. In a June 14, 2000, article in "SportsJones Magazine," columnist Elliot Vanskike wrote, "Wedged between his fretful silliness is the spelling lesson cum chorus which, if you hear it, will burrow into your brain and plant its hooks as it has into mine. It's not that 'K.O.B.E.' is catchy, because it's not. It's just that it will light up the same neurons that fire when you hear the Hamster Dance Song, and it's about as well produced."
That about sums it up.
Supermodel Tyra Banks joined Kobe on this disaster. Sadly, the reality is that the host of "America's Top Model" probably wouldn't make it through the first-round of "American Idol" with this performance.
But I'm going to give the talented Ms. Banks the benefit of the doubt, because its nearly impossible to make these lyrics sound good. Kobe speaks of "broads," "pigeons," and even suggests slapping a girl for being too loud in public.
In literature, they call this foreshadowing. In music, they call this a "never-released album."
Memorable lyrics: "Uh, what I live for? Basketball, beats and broads. From Italy to the U.S., yes, it's raw. I'ma search for the one that make my wealth feel poor. Who can ignore the spotlight life of Grandma." " |

woo hoo! .. the hometown hornets win their 3rd game tonight beating sacramento 121-117. what a great game. baron davis is back to his old self again (well not his ball hogging self .. hahaha .. his teamwork self) .. by putting up a triple double, and getting some very key steals late in the game ..
baron's stats : 26 points, 17 assists, 10 rebounds, 4 steals.
what a great game .. the team playing together .. i like to see this, especially with 'big cat' maggloire coming back next month, the hornets could possibly have a strong second half season to look forward to .. and hopefully david west can come back to provide some excellent bench help .. this is a good team we have here .. |

damn it .. i will be happier once we get david west and big cat next month .. then we could actually see some daylight (like if we want it .. we should be vying for the number one pick for this year's draft .. hhahaha) ..
but i feel the biggest concern this offseason (look at me .. already looking forward to the offseason for the team) is to find some bigger bodies ..chris andersen and rodney rodgers were great pick ups, but not the "western conference" big bodies .. if you know what i mean .. |

I'd rather see them keep Shareef who is a better all around player. Pair him with Miles and SF and Telfair at PG and you have something exciting. Trade Zach for guards. It won't happen though (can't trade his anyhow with his excessive contract). Just my musings.... |
Yea i know what you mean, its all John Nash's fault! he is a stupid GM with no patiance i would trade him!
This guy is making the Blazers just another mediocre club in the league insted of respecting it and making it one of the best like it should be,i want Portland to go into a complete rebuild in the last year& a half, trust me that Zach is a good player but the problem is that 30% wideopen shots shooters like DA,Damon and even Miles are allowing double teams on Randolph and then turnovers from Randolph's part when the second option is Ratliff who scores about 5 PPG...
Shareef's defence is almost as bad as randolph'S in the post and he is gettin' old, just look how every time Randolph is on the bench the Blazers are getting stuck on offence.
Just blame John Nash thats what i say, does it make any sence to you that B.Wells was traded for nothing and now he is shooting 30 points every time he is in portland? does it make any sence to you that D.A+Theo+Zach+Patterson+Damon's salaries alone are filling the Blazers Cap room?! its crazy and a big change is needed! I think they need a player like Micheal Redd and a solid 3pointer PG to make them a normal team who can run in the playoffs. |

no. he's outta here. his pant pulling the gms will finally pay off, and he's outta here .. here's the question .. where to ?? what team could possibly afford jason kidd? if new jersey agrees to pay the rest of his contract, who would possibly want to trade for a guy who has proven to be a very talented basketball player, but tends to be very inconsistent on a night to night basis occasionally, and has a very low career shooting % ?? .. i can't think of any team going for a playoff run that would want him .. and bold the term "playoff run" .. because if jason kidd is traded to a scrub team, he will not be very happy. the only team i could think of that would take him would be houston, but they have gone through too much to get juwan howard and t-mac, and bobby sura and d-dub .. so they can't afford to possibly trade more players to get jason kidd..
i would be happy with a package deal to send jason kidd and players for baron davis and players .. face it ... we are trading one ego for another ego .. we are not going to lose anything .. hahah .. :D |
