I'd like to enter this one. But going up against Audun and Marius Linauskus could be tough, theirs were very good last time.

If there is a dire need of judges I will humbly remove myself and become a judge again if needed.

Put me in for DJ Hyoctane. Time to see if all that practice pays off :)

Is this solely based for users mixing on the computer, or can actual vinyl/cd-r DJ's get in this fun as well?

How subjective is this?

Lets say the person used "cheese," but had excellent mixing and cool tricks and effects. How would that be judged?

What's the rule with vocals and age of the music.

What if you used "popular trance" Tiesto/Blanks and Jones? Since this board seems to hate just about everything that gets popular.

Its not that everyone hates what is popular, its just the repetitive nature of things. Every DJ seems to be putting out the same songs and rarely are we seeing innnovation and creativeness. This is mainly directed towards amateur DJ's.

Don't worry, I'm going to make a really bad mix this time:toothless
And to Hyoctane: I dont think that the age of the tunes would matter that much and neither would it be a problem with popular trance or vocal trance, but cheese might not be very popular among the judges. Remember that the tunes you'll play isn't the only thing that matter, set structuring and beatmatching also count alot. Other than that it wouldn't be wise to only play old tracks, a mix of old and new would be better. I'm not a judge so its not up to me to decide thought.;)
