we run an official vinyl one too, the last one ended not long ago and the new one will be started hopefully in early 2005, having a break now but i promise we'll set one up :) |

To make it fair for every1, this will be my last time i'm in this competition, it's not that i'm boored or sth, cause i'm really having fun here and im really satisfied with the results of mixing that i have, but i'm not satisfied with what i'm playing(in my place MP3 ),so i'll be trying as much as i can to move on to CD players, and start playing in our little scene .
Hope this comes true :) |

I just listened to your mix for the previous competition. Very good one. The judges did well to place it first. |

I was wondering, is it a really big thing if one makes a mix thats slightly over 80 mins? I would assume the judges want to burn in on cdr, so 80 mins would be the max, but I'm just curious coz most of my mixes are either less then 60 mins or slightly over 80 mins.
Other question: Is it really nescesarry to use 160kbs mp3? I rather use 192 (which is my standard when recording anyways) and I think the quality (even tho not that obvious) is better. Should I interpreted this rule as in "no less then 160 kbs" or "160kbs, no more, no less" ??
Plz let me know ;) |

| It's no less then 160 meaning you can go over, but remember the judges have to download almost 20 mixes |

Hey folks!!!
Another one eh!!! Always gooood!
In for a Judge again if it helps :)
Enjoyed it last time and will do the same again.
One issue, Cue sheets. I wanna know where the DJ has started the next track transition.
I hope all from the last competition have another pop too, some class acts out there!

Isnt it the dj's job NOT to let you know where he started the transition? I mean, if you cant figure out where the transition started, it means the Dj did a great job ;)
I personally think its kinda stupid to tell everyone where you started mixing the 2nd track into the first...
Just my own opinion tho. |
