I am so bitter that I missed Orkidea...but a lingering cold kept me home and will likely keep me from Rank 1 & Junkie XL tonight too.

After a LONG and tiresome day at work, Im home finally! Totally with Jason on this one, couldnt have been a better way to pop my boa cherry. There is only one word to describe Orkidea's set: IMPECCABLE!!! (LOL ive been using that word all night/day)It was soo good. I think i truly appreciated the set so much by just chilling to it. I think if I danced too hard, I wouldnt have gotten to appreciate it as much....I didnt want to burn up all my energy so i spent a lot of the night chillin out in the back on the couches. Massive shout outs to the crew on the couches, Az - Always one of my favourite party people! RJ, Chris, Drew, Curtis (So good to finally get to hang with you! Dont forget to hook that msn up!) and everybody else that kept comin back an forth...Special thanks to Chris and Dan and Sean for lettin me chill with them till it was time to go to work...Cam parties are GREAT! lol. Special thanks also to Firestarter an crew for bein the only ones to show up at meet up! and to Rob for guest list. Great to also see the ta crew out in full force till closing. Great Set, Great Night!

I know I mentioned it to a couple people last night, but it was a real treat to hear some good trance on that sound system. What night of auditory excellence! Recognized a few tracks ie Thrillseakers, Tilt, that Blue monday remix, and more...
Great to chill and party with the TAs as ususal. I wish there could have been a meet up, it's so hard to talk in the clubs when you meet up with people, I always like meeting before hand to chill. I was totally stone sober too (aside from a little toke), and surprisingly kept my energy up the whole night. Needless to say, I'm dead now, joints got a bit sore during the night (am I getting old!?!?!).
In the words of RJ, it was *adopt euro accent* "like ze opera, but ze drums is like ze tchek. Very nice." :haha: |

I swear to god I was going to in' kill myself on that dancefloor it was soooo slippery!! :eek:
But I adapted and once I got used to the complete lack of resistance under my feet, dancing ensued...
Was great to hear an all out Trance set on such a great sound system that's for sure!

| It was a good time. Thanks SO MUCH for getting in touch with Chris for me- he ended up coming along & made for great company. Due to a late start & heavy traffic leaving TO, we didn't come close to making it there b4 sunset. Went straight to the light control booth at the Falls, and I have a little 'hook up' with the guy who controls the lights, so Tapio, his friend Pia & Chris all got to change the colours of the lights on the Falls. We also fed raccoons. Then we went to eat at the Flying Saucer restaurant (actually shaped & painted like a cheesy flying saucer). Got back to TO at 11pm, changed, and we all headed to the Guv for the evening. From then on, I'll write in the review thread from last night. ;) |
