I swear to god I was going to in' kill myself on that dancefloor it was soooo slippery!!
But I adapted and once I got used to the complete lack of resistance under my feet, dancing ensued...

Ha! TELL ME ABOUT IT! Me the idiot, I wore my work (dress) shoes and actually did take a wipe out through over excitment of seeing a friend when I arrived. The rest of the night I learned to adapt, and the dancing wasnt bad... I enjoy the glide, just not TOO much :D
Well, I had a great time. Orkidea is THE man... his set flowed wonderfully... and I swear the first handfull of tunes got me soooooo excited... twinkle progressive galore! mmmm
Good to see the usual TA faces again, and JEEZE there were some I didnt see that were there? How's that possible??
Well, I love Boa, and I pray that there are more trance events there MORE often. Too bad I had I leave early though, lousy work... didn't even wake up on time either!
Thank you Temporal Rythmn for bringing him down... |

| Orkidea was freakin awesome. Had me going all night. Gotta love trance on that amazing Boa sound system. :) Big up to TR for bringing him back. It was awesome partying with all the TAs as always. Great night all-round. I even ran into the guy who plays Travis aka Smog on the TV series radio free Rosco. :D |

There are very few DJs out there that I make sure i see everytime they are in TO. However, Orkidea I WILL NEVER EVER dare to not treat my self to his blissfull sets. He takes trance in ALL its forms and puts it all into one helluva journey thru prog, breaks, melodic, vocal to hard bangin' tunes all seamlessly woven into a near "nirvanic" experiance.... and he does this every damn time!!!
I'm not much of a track ID'er these days without net access but I gotta thank him for playing Placebo - Without you(?) Brothers in Rythm remix. definetly made my night... amoungst a whole bunch of others.... ie The filerheadz' new anthem, 643, and errrr brain cramp. :whip:
Boa was great as usual, I enjoyed the more spacious atmosphere (yay floor space!)... always an assualt on the sesnses!
Thanks to Gamma for telling me about this party just as I was ready to catch some Misstress mayhem (yay I'm out of touch), the Boa krew for treating me so well - especially Erika!, TR for keeping Orkidea playing for US at great venues (read: not GUV!), thanks Christina for helping me through that "wee" spot of trouble and the great TA crew that always comes out to support great talents like Okidea, it was great to see some of you that I haven't in TOO long.
And of course Tapio: Your music is an inspiration for all music lovers, DJ's and trance lovers everywhere. Come back to Toronto soon... we need more refreshing trance in this "Armin and Tiesto" town.
See you all @ Gamma and Zabiela on the 26th! |

I had a great night - I was hoping for more progressive, but from a trance point of view, I think Orkidea might have played one of the best trance sets of 2004. I never would have danced so hard if I did not think I was being treated.
I was suprised when I saw how few TA's really know where to go to find the great parties. Its kinda of funny that TR (they know what they are doing, being around long before the majority of the people kickign around on TA everyday) brings you the best and your not out there supporting. Even just Boa V Guv is enough...but Orkidea is the deal sealer. If you like the best trance around, dont miss him again.
Nice to see those Nat, Az, Em, Del, Ari, RJ, Anthony and Crew, my crew, rony, carey and any else that made it a fun night.
Also Big Respects go out to Jonah Aubrey for putting the icing on the cake for me. |

Amen to that!
I know I did my share of convincing of people to go. We are SOOOO LUCKY to be the one N. American city that brings Orkidea in (aside from 1 gig in NY yrs ago). There was a good TA turnout at the Guv the next night, most of them absent from the Boa gig. All were happy as hell to meet the guy, but why weren't you there supporting? Look at the big picture- you're supporting Temporal Rhythm (who are bringing you the acts TA's want to see), Boa Redux (the best club in town) and the artist (even more important to support a lesser known act).
I know there are a lot of new members here, but please take our words and go see him the next time around. People are too hung up on the Armin-Ferry-Tiesto diet. I've never danced as hard for any of those guys as I did on Fri night. |

Agreed with Nat. Frank is a smart one for showing up even though his day at work the next day was bad news.(worth it all the way)
We should all show up for the Eddie Halliwell gig and support TR.
That will be Alpha Dynacord's first REAL pushing.
I kinda wish Orkidea was there at Alto Basso again, I was there after Way Out West and its got a nice chill vibe. (or maybe that was jus me after my wirlwind weekend) ;) |
