Admittedly I don't know much about this situation, but from my previous knowledge of French meddling in recent African affairs it is very biased, unneutral, in where they always side with the side that illustrates a clear political or economic advantage to the benifit of France regardless of the humanitarian or political situation on the ground.

i pretty much know nothing about the situation, so i cant really comment. But when i open a thread i would like to see the topic being discussed so i can learn more about it and be less stupid on the subject. And i certainly dont want to see this

I don't know much of the colonial history, but in any case, it seems to be very awful. Perhaps someon can post an abbreviated historical note.

I don't think the issue is because its the french that ar involved, as much as it is africa. Africa is ignored in the English language press more than any other continent.
