| Tiesto is the man, been my fave from day one. Not all his sets have been the best for sure, but he's had the best ones ive ever heard, and everytime ive seen him, i have really enjoyed the experience. |

Everytime I have seen him I have never heard him trainwreck and in all of the 20 live recorded sets of his that I have on my PC not one trainwreck or horrible transition have I heard thus far.
I agree he isn't the best but his mix CD's are always good and he does have a good ear for good tracks. He has definetly gone downhill but he is still a DJ to look up to.
I'll be seeing him again in December and I have no doubt he will perform well. |

do u actually know what ur looking for in a bad mix? cose if u did u would realise that his mixes r very rushed (bout 10secs) and sometimes he doesnt even bother mixing tracks properly.
and also mix cd's r nearly always made on computers so i dont really think u can count them and judge his mixing on a cd and say its good. |

The worst ones I've heard from him tend to be the rushed ones yeah, wouldn't say he does that all the time though, far from it.
Sometimes it works having mixes come in quickly imho; emphasises the next track more in a way. Not just saying that to defend him, sometimes it can sound wank (i've heard a few of his transitions where the bass drop seems like it's in completely the wrong place)... but in general I prefer his mixing technique to those who just attempt smooth gradual seamless transitions between every tune... even if he isn't that consistent about it. Horses for courses though. |

| Well dude, you can safely bet that God wont be answering your prayers any time soon. He plays what he makes and he makes techy buzzy stuff. Like it or not, his sound has taken him places no other dj has gone. So yeah, go listen to someone new if you want a different sound. He's not going to go backwards for you. |

like what's been said, a lot of his transitions are really rushed.
and no one, i mean, NO ONE, can screw up a mix CD. no one would release it if it wasnt perfect, and thats why its done with software to make sure everything is EQed and everything is EXACTLY as they could hope for. |
