Tiesto Paid £40,000 For 2 Hour Set...

In january/febuary tiesto will play club matrix in northern ireland and for only a 2 hour set he is gettin £40k! was confirmed by a friend of mine who works at the club.i think this is scandalous.good info for all you guys looking to know how much pro djs can get paid for 2 hours work.

do you think this is cool for your friend when you're telling this to everyone? I think he told this to you because he trusted to you that you keep this for you. Maybe he will lose his job now. However the club owner is stupid if he pays that much
btw Tiesto got more than GBP 250000 for every night of his concert |

| haha.. As the most popular Dj in the world, you would probably have to pay him some serious cash if would consider playing somewhere in the first place. You go where they pay you the most - pretty natural if u ask me. |

What's the big deal? It's just money, and the club wouldn't do it if they didn't think they had something to gain by it, so don't worry about what other people are getting paid.

I wouldnt be surprised if it was true - tbh I find it disconcerting the amount some of these djs get. I hate the fact they make out they're DJs simply for the love of the music when they go out and act like divas when they dont get exactly what they've asked for. I've heard PvD got like £40,000 or something ridiculous for one of his 6 hour sets at Gatecrasher a while back...
However i would rather the dj got a load of money rather than the promoter - I find them even more irritating. |

| Sounds like a load of bóllocks to me - how could they possibly justify paying anyone that money - it doesn't make any financial sense! I've never been to the club but it would have to be pretty big to even break even - say it has 2000 capacity they need to sell out at £20 a ticket to cover Tiesto's fee. I guess if people are prepared to pay stupid money to see Tiesto for 2 hours more fool them :stongue: |

Exactly, I am a promotor and we paid PVD around that figure for a whole tour of Mexico. |
