ya know speed, I too am a nice guy, and I tried being an to girls for a change and i just felt terrible all the time. All in all, be yourself and good things will happen. Do things YOU want to do, listen to songs YOU want to listen, not what others tell you and most importantly if you stay true to yourself you will find a girl that loves you for you, and not some bonehead ex-boyfriend she had for 8 years that shes trying to transform you to. |

Speedy, it's no one's fault. There was a situation: a cause and a consequence. Both of you could've handled differently.
Positivity? Remember you're always learning. Try to act more rationally. She spent 8 years with jealous people, you say? Don't expect her to forget her past. She could also remember you're not them, but she was too attached to the image of "boyfriend" she had. If it didn't work, you hopefully learned something new. If you guys manage to re-build the relationship, she'll remember that she can't judge you based on other people, and you should learn not to expect her to think the way you do.
Don't be hard on yourself, Speedy. Life's not what happens to you, but how you manage to deal with these things ;) |

nice guys don't necessarily finish last...
when nice guys are in last place, they wonder how could this have happened and don't do anything about it or anything different
when bad guys are in last place, they don't sit looking for sympathy
i feel like the reason the phrase has so much truth is only because you never hear the 'bad guys' complaining
