This is for all you (us) chillout fans out there. Which track do you feel has the most ethereal, dreamlike, joyous, floaty, bubbling atmospheric sounds *without being cheesy*?
My vote goes to ->this<-.
*Edit* ->This<- link should work. If not, cut and paste:

Especially nice is the portion ~2/3 of the way through.
Also, I love the sounds in Moby - Porcelain, and of course Sasha's Wavy Gravy. |

Great thread!
I love chillout/downtempo music. I don't have the time to respond just yet, but I will as soon as I have a chance to give it some thought. :thepirate |

Lemme know what you think of the sample I posted. I'll try to get a higher quality sample up too... I just can't get enough of it. |

That is a very nice sample. I listen to a lot of down tempo stuff. Tangerine Dream, William Orbit, Harold Grosskopf, Christopher Franke, Brian Eno etc a lot of picked up from my Dad!
If you really like that stuff I can recommend Beanfield - Charles :eek: It is on the Chilled Out Euphoria album which I find amazing...For those that have it and haven't listened to it for a while listen to Everything But The Girl - Single as it slides into Tangerine Dream...WOW :eek: |

There is a similar thread on this already: Your favourite chillout track?
In any case, you must include some tracks by Mixmaster Morris (AKA Irresistible Force) in the list. |

I love Corentin's chillout sets. Is that who you are talking about?
I have always been into chillout/downtempo music. I used to listen to it all the time a while back. After receiving a downtempo set from an artist a few months ago (of his own music) it made me start listening to it more than I already did (at the time). It's funny how you can forget how much you love a genre of music until someone reminds you how great it is. |
