Well, I dunno when the rest of the crew will get a chance to post a review so I will post one.

RJ and I got to the club before it opened and ran into Shawzy who was waiting for his new year's tickets as were a much of others waiting for the booth to open. Finally we got our new year's tickets and went back outside to wait for the party to start. Ran into Cuzo and friends in the line and waited. Again, a mix up in communication at the door with reduced list (person say's reduced but at the door it is regular cover). My friend Erin had no cash for coat check after that.

We got in and it was pretty empty (obviously) so we waited around in the back for people to show up. More and more people came in and Coleridge was playing a really really good warm up set. Started off slow and built up the booty shakin' music nicely.

As the club reached the maximum it was going to reach around 3:30 Eddie was still not in the building. Apperently he was supposed to start at 3 but nowhere in sight. Finally at around 3:45 he shows up and attempts to play but only one song and then Jon Tremblay goes on for a good hour. Announcement of the PA said that we have nothing to worry about just a change of line up and so we all wait a bit longer and enjoy Tremblay's awesome set.

Finally, at 5:30 Eddie came on and with a few initial techinical difficulties he began to attempt and break in the sound system eddie style. i have never heard the stereo so loud. the mixing was awesome along with the effects. I was definitely impressed. this wasn't just a DJ set but a performance.

A bunch of us stayed to the end and it was pretty good. Ended up feeling like it was Cuzo's private party and we were all feeding off Frank's energy. Also we think Cuzo has met his dancing match in out new friend Jay (Myway). You guys rocked out like no one had rocked out before!

hee hee. i would like to introduce you to ray again. i think out of all humans i know he sleeps the most. what saved him was sleeping a full 8 hours before going to Boa.

PS. One more thing to add to the review. I really hated this and still feel the effects right now as I sit here. They let people smoke inside where people were dancing and i almost vomitted several times. not used to that anymore. i had to run away from stinky people all night and now all my clothes and hairs stinks horribly. i know there wasn't that many people and most probably didn't care but you can really tell the difference with smoking and non-smoking.

i heard that eddie halliwell spun late because he refused to spin unless boa provided a pioneer600 mixer. apparently tremblay has to fill in until his request was met.

is this true?

Well I was suposte to be there but about 10mins before we walked out the door something happened..... I haden't been feeling great all day and then when we were leaving I started to get all dizzy and stuff. After thinking for a while I deided the smart thing to do was stay home and rest - so I did  I told Samhouse and FunkyFun to go ahead without me and have a great time. I am told that the party was awsome But sometimes things (liek your health) get in the way of a good party. Anyways glad everyone had fun! I heard Halliways mixer wasn't working right and RJ went home to get his.......Nice one RJ

To all that are comming out tonight - see ya then

I havent danced that hard in ages.
honestly dont remember.
bwa...ok, so its 4:00 I woke up 10 minutes ago, stayed till the end.
umm, like margs, the smoke annoyed me a little..moreso today ebcause I can taste it(ewwww)

He was everything I expected and had waited for. Great performance, and while some people are surely going to complain about his refusal to play until he got a 600, the performance would have been lackluster without it. Ive not seen a DJ use the sampler/effector as much as he did.
it was hard.
it was loud.(Fookin loud) and it was a great great time.

that remy track(dunno the name, tremblay and eddie both played it) is killer. Its the new murder was the bass(also played)

and somebody played an underworld song. it was wicked.
ya...I need to go study for finals now. Today was a FANTASTIC waste of a saturday.

I'm deeply sorry I couldn't make it out to support the TR crew and BOA last night. A previous engagement outside the city with a close friend is what kept me away from enjoying what I read now was a killer night.

Cool! Awesome tunes, some of my favouirites there (esp. Taurus). Glad to see that everyone in attendance had a blast and kudos to RJ for his sacrifice in saving the day. I'm looking forward to the next TR event with great anticipation...

From what Nat told me, that's correct.

I was soooooo excited about seeing EH, but I have to admit I'm SUPER pissed off about last night. I had stuff to do today and I had not planned to stay till the wee hours of daylight. Consequently, I gave him until 5:15 to come on at which point I decided to leave. Thanks to the TOTA's for giving me the heads up about when he was coming on while I was getting my jacket. I wish I could have stayed! Here's my thoughts (i'm putting the flamesuit on).

I'm completely pissed off on 2 fronts.

1) That was a complete primadonna move by Halliwell. If you don't get your mixer, it's ok to refuse, BUT, if there is no way to get you one quickly, then suck it up and play with what's there. You're a friggin professional, act like one!
2) I'm not sure, but it seems to me that if you're booking an act in and they ask for something in their contract, you should provide for it. I don't know if it was in the contract, and if it wasn't then whatever, but if it was......how the hell could you not have one?
