Jeesus ... I definitely had too many beers last night! I want to say I totally apologize to you blue_neon and subfuture for going off like that, I know I should try not to start flame wars and attack individual people, that was way out of line of me (And no I'm not a journalist btw)
What I should have said was, I like comparing different DJs, and their strengths and their weaknesses, and whether they played a good set on whatever night, I don't think it's being immature or ignorant or disrespectful to trance music to do that. I just love listening to and talking about trance in general, naturally DJ's are going to come into it. And naturally some DJ's are going to play more tracks that move me than some others. It's not like all DJ's are created equal, otherwise every bedroom DJ would be charging $40 to go and see them spin wouldn't they.
So I would kind of like to try and rescue this thread from back out of the gutter now, and hear why you think it is so childish of us to compare DJ's. |

Kia Kaha when i read ur post about 2minutes ago about ur comparison with Oakie and Nick Warren, i got really pissed off, considering da fact dat he's my favourite dj...first of all i wasn't comparing him 2 Oakie, i was saying dat he's travelling around da world right now and giving da oppurtunity 2 millions 2 listen 2 trance :) but den i read ur last post, so everything is Oki man :)
im not gonna reply 2 dis thread ne more, coz its useless, listening 2 people such as TG, i not gonna say nething here, coz we all know how she is :rolleyes: but i will check it out, and it wud be better 2 close it!

Even if its good to argue and bull, it takes away from what i get on this site and that is a connection to people who love trance like i do.
But unfortunately i see alot of people say stupid that i dont associate with people who have seen the light in trance music.
Tiesto plays amazing energy filled music to audiences of energy filled happy people. The euphoric feeling he must get im sure will keep him doing whatever it is necessary to bring that out from the crowd. Im sure he chooses not to look at the people crying in the corners about how played out his tunes are etc. rather he looks at the person who for 3-4 hours is at peace with everything around them.
Also im sure he does not give a what Twilogoddess and the rest or her army think, but then maybe he should cause it appears more and more like twilogoddess is the queen of trance, and she must be obeyed (just kidding, but you dont paint a nice happy picture in these forums, but then it again its only little characters on my screen and i have no idea what you are like in person).
Even oakenfold i could say good things for. I may not like where he has gone with his music, but im sure he does not really care. The thing is for him, he has been dj before most of you were an itch in papa's pants. So after a while, you get to wanna try new things, and some people arent gonna be happy about, but i respect his decision. There are always up and comers and Twilogoddess (im sorry for singleing you out) i hope you find them soon, so that you can go back to just enjoying your night out with lovely trance and people. |

The reason this thread is still open is because it generated a lot of good comments and arguements for and against.
something that has been lacking for a while in the forums,
Twilogoddess may have started this thread as a bit of a joke but in doing so we have had some really great comments from ppl and of course some that are not so great.
Personal attacks are not what tranceaddict is about ! but good arguement and debate is always welcomed, ppl are never going to agree with each other all the time, FACT of life, but here we can for the most part argue and debate why we like or dislike certain DJ's, Genres, apspect's of the music we love in a good way.
Telling someone to " off" cos they dont like the same DJ you do is not good arguement, however if u can explain why u prefer your DJ over someone else's then that's fine, it's stimulating and provides good arguement.
NO ONE here is always right and NO ONE here is always wrong, we are all individuals with individual tastes and its good to see some intelligent and well thought answers and posts on this thread.
if that trend prevails in this thread then it stays open, if it becomes a thread of personal attacks then it gets closed.
I don't want to close this thread cos of the intelligent posts that some ppl have made, but i will if personal attacks continue.

In one of my previous posts i said Tiesto for me is the best DJ/Producer of the year , however i didn't like his latest sets because he keeps on playing the same damn old 99 tracks . It was very refreshing to see that everyone having a view on things instead of some of the useless threads lately. I think we are over the annoyance of flame wars and post.
I myself have only heard Tiesto once and will try to see him again in Nov in DC. Oakie, well that's another story. I think he can make some good tracks, but as a DJ he has lost his touch. I think even now he can pull himsefl out of the ashes and probably mix a great set. But I don't think people want to hear that from him anymore. Alot of people that pay to see Oakie just pay to see him play, crappy set or not. Either way, if I had a chance to see Oakie again I would go but not pay an outragous amount of money.
Tiesto, now this gets tricky. In Nov we get the choice of seeing all of PVD or all of Tiesto. After this and hearing views from peeps here, we are staying for all of PVD @ Radiate, then the rest of Tiesto @ Glow. Either way I win, since I get to see both in one night.
