Again your assuming way too much, yes it is true I maybe younger than you, but one thing is for sure "media" has nothing to do with this, Kamaya Painters, Gouryella and Alibi were the influence for my "favorites" list, this was much before "GRAND-SPANKING, IN YOUR FACE, OUT OF THIS WORLD TRANCE". Wondering if you think everyone is the same, because there are people who are not bandwagon riders. And in my mind all people are created equal, respect and you will be respected. Again no hard feelings, we are all entitled to our opinion :) |
Agreed, lets keep the elitist attitudes to a minimum please. ;) |

It's actually Tiesto - Coming Home.
But I guess you COULD call it Theme From Norefjell 2004, that's pretty much what it is. |

| Johan said "it will take him a long time to forget our party" he very happy, very thing was great, he love the vibe and the energy of the crowd. |

That is so fantastic to hear. I really enjoyed him, his style, his energy and the way he was into the crowd!!!:gsmile:
btw, I became a Tiesto fan after I saw him play in a club in Rome 4+ years ago. He seemed so happy and into what he was doing and so into the crowd. I had no idea who he was at the time, but after that night I couldn't wait to hear more from him and see him spin again. So I obviously never jumped on some "Tiesto bandwagon"!!:wtf: |

Awsome, awsome thank you guys for coming out and supporting us. The night was a success, From start to finish, Johan even went a little past 4 which only happned cause you wanted it to happen. Johan really knows how to read the crowed, and can entertain really good as well. It was nice to see the club packed for the second night in consecutive events, next year can only get better. Oh id also like to add in one more track for that night, ernest vs bastain - darkside of the moon, massive tune, only the second DJ i have heard drop this live, first was GTR at the club. good times indeed. cant wait to see johan next year more often, this guy needs to get more recognition here in the states. hes the man at trance energy, he should be the man here in the US. nice to meet more TAs, sorry i could not see everyone but hopefully i did at one point in the night.
p.s. please stop over analyzing the music. Elitist attitudes are not what helps the scene. if it wasnt for clubs like TCH, the scene would have less options to choose from. And then you would be given a amaller spoon to be fed with, in regards to the media fed diet. as most elitist in any group or community would preach as there bases of arguments. |

HOP RIGHT IN !!!!!

If you consider Crash Guard, Calling "The Freak," Intimo, Destination Space, Musix, S.F.X., Thomas P. Heckmann, Emmanuel Topp, Speedy J., Hardcell, Technasia, Antipop-Consortium, DJ Krush, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Gotan Project, Aphex Twins, The Prodigy, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Hybrid, Absolute and other aforementioned artists on the same level as your super-icon Tiësto, then go ahead, give me a free ticket to your wagon. ALL ABROAD! Conductor Orbital32 at your service.
During conversation on the wagon:
R.E.F.: Excuse me, conductor, where does this wagon lead?
Conductor_Orbital32: Why, it leads to the Cheese Factory, of course...
Woody:
It was Filterheadz - Yimanya he played... not 'Sunshine'
Lomeli:
I totally guessed it was Norefjell 2004, because it sounds like a complete update of the original. The melody was an instant refresher.
With regards to the masses, I meant no disrespect.. I don't want to impose my so-called 'elitist' views on anyone... you can LISTEN to whatever you want. If singing along to Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera tickles your fancy while you're in the shower, or listening to 'Traffic' while you're jammed in 405 rush-hour helps give you pleasure, then by all means, be my guest. Hell, I'm still a big sucker for ATB.. I'd say he's still along the lines of being one of my favorite producers. So, in summation, sorry for my distasteful and somewhat ambiguous comments, and go on with your lives.
With respect to Johan's performance last Friday:
It was extremely sub-par, in MY opinion. One of the most average performances I have seen thus far in the year. TCH's sound was an unusual let-down as well. (I think a few people have noted this already: Me, Noree, LRCN, Jethro, and DaveT. Please get the place EQ'd, I'm begging you, Leon.) And whoever thought the resident DJs played well on Friday: What in the BLOODY hell were you thinking? They have no skills whatsoever! It's just anthem after anthem, no variety, nor mixing ability. TCH should bring resident's like Anthony Ross, or Magic Helmet to the table (DJs who take their passion seriously, and know what they're doing), unlike those who play mind-game politics and cater to the promoters to acquire gigs. (Very shameful and dishonorable, on the club's behalf.) Moreover, I was extremely disappointed with Heaven; I expected much more.
Somebody had to say it.. and I guess it just had to be me.
P.S. Roc Project feat. Tina Arena - Never (Filterheadz "Luv Tina" remix) kicked my ass!

| i really didn't read the whole thing, because i really don't care. I'm sure you are the best person out. You go to all their clubs. Oh I'm sure you went to seen MIKE when he was here. O wait you didn't. you are only 19. ;) You know what? We may be going to a cheese factory, but on the way there we are going to pass some through some awesome techno, hear some great trance, even vist some HOUSE. But you won't. Why? not because we don't want you too, but becuase while we are having fun you are going to be busy at home listen to your "better" music through your laptop speakers. again you win. |

| Hey....come on guys.....where's the love?? I thought this scene was about enjoying the night as a whole.....yes there were some flaws...just like all parties..... but in the end its all about throwing a nice party and having some ing fun baby!! I had at least 25 friends inside...and seeing sooo many people there to have a good time was just awesome! I'm glad Johan has a residency with TCH....you rock Leon ;)...as he used to be in my Top 5! But nowadays I'm really into the Dark, tribalish, prog that Danny Howells, Digweed, Sasha, Steve Lawler, etc... play. well in the end.....there is no good or bad.....everyone likes different things....who's to say what is right and what is wrong! PEACE LOVE UNITY RESPECT! |

Sheesh, look at you all.
You know, it's funny. I was just talking with someone in the past couple of weeks and we were talking about how DJs perceive these boards. And this include big, heavyweight DJs.
I remember two years ago when I would mention TA to DJs, and they would smile and talk about how they love the boards.
Recently, though, when TA is mentioned, more and more DJs talk about how they look down on the boards because of all the bickering and arguments that go on here.
I'm not saying I'm not guilty...because I am. But damn, I see what they are talking about now.

Yeah I agree. For example the mcprog thread in MD.
Its one thing to have opinions about your music, but there are tigerclaw/markus death threats in there. If I were these DJ's I would tottaly stop coming becuase of this bull. |
