Basically, a trainwreck is when the beats for the first song and the song you're mixing in are not matched. Instead of sounding like boop-boop-boop-boop, it sounds like baloop-baloop-baloop-baloop.
Here is a very exagerated trainwreck.

Notice how the beats are going baloop-baloop. That is a trainwreck of Tiesto like propertions (I keed, <3 Tiesto).
Some people also consider a trainwreck a sloppy mix. I.E. the tracks can be well beatmatched (boop-boop-boop), but the dj just did a really poor job of bringing the cued track into the mix. |

nice trainwreck!
congrats on the set-up and vinyl, trust me i know what you must have felt like when saving.
i know what your strategy was when buying the set-up, save up heaps and buy great quality stuff that you will be happy with no matter how long it would take to get to the figure$.
my setup-
sennhiser HD-25 headphones
Vestax PCV 175 mixer
x2 Technics turntables SL-1210M5G's
x2 GT ORTOFON CART + STYLIS + ANOTHER X2 GT ORTOFON STYLIS (BACK-UP)
178 VINYLS
been doing it for nearly a year whilst still at school, always loved edm and DJing!
Now i'm thinking what if I didn't TRAVEL to Japan And what my setup may have been DAMM!!!
i could have had a setup like his but not as much VINYL!:tongue3 :tongue3 :tongue3  :haha: :happy2: :happy2: :toocool: |

Good informative example. This is also refered to as machine gunning or buffalo stampeding and even cowboy mixing sometimes.
Cheers

A lot of people say that Tiesto trainwrecks a lot. I was just poking fun at that supposed trainwreckage. |
