I will post more details when they are available.

An update on this - the party is in the works, expected to happen in the next 10 days. (Sat, Jan 7th is a possibility)

Some of Toronto's most respected DJs and promoters are on board. The venue is being confirmed in the next few days. please keep your eyes open for an event listing and support it with your attendance if you can.

One thing this community knows how to do is party - let's do it for a good cause.

To give you a better idea of the scope of this horrific disaster, here is a site with links to mainly home movies of people (tourists?) from the areas hit.

The total death toll is now approaching 120,000. Please give, even if it is a small amount. Now is the time for our humanity towards others to shine.

Early detection systems can save a lot more lives. I'm glad India has committed to implement it within the next two years.

IMO, I think everyone should be forced to see it whether, you like it or not. This goes on, it's all far too easy to ignore it if you can't see it, "out of sight out of mind", but that's what those people are looking at in person, every direction they look in.

It amazes me that they discuss how this could cost Billions (14 so far) in damages, yet companies are bought up for that price, some individuals in this world have 5 times that much money.

I was thinking earlier, people seem to discuss only the death toll, without it, it doesn't seem to have the same affect, yet there is equal, if not more damage done to those that survived, and have ABSOINGLUTELY NOTHING left of their life, except the clothes on their back (if they're lucky to have those). Lots of comparisons to this and the W.T.C. It's horrible those lives were lost, and those families suffered, but I'm afraid they're suffering was done in a heated house, with food and shelter and running water, and not much else changed for them as far as their lifestyle is concerned.
