iirc, its not due to the engines themselves, its due to the small differences between the turbo's. A cheap upgrade for any SX owner would be to put on a turbo from a GTiR or S15 onto their CA or SR and you could run more boost. Also i think the GTiR throttle body is slightly larger, and again, that part is interchangeable between the engines. I think that as a whole, the SR engine is unchanged, it is just the ancillarys that each car has

actually the gtir has quad throttle body and the differences between the sr20det's such as from the s13s (silvia, 180sx, also jdm) in power to the later s15s range from different tuning for different fuel, exhausts and turbos

Do you wear all black in an attempt to be different and not conform also?

Your Golf is nice as hell though, my friend has a GTI and its pretty fast. I just dont see why you bought a ugly, slow, plastic-mobile when you had a nice peice of German built automotive happiness sitting at home which is beautiful, not slow by any means, and has sleek sexy interior(which also gets good gas mileage).

Edit: I must digress, I have heard the xB is a fun car, as you said. But thats no reason to spend what, 14k? even more with those rims you have on it, on one when theres much nicer, slightly more expensive 4 door, reliable, cars that get good gas mileage.

Sorry Im late on this, I just noticed it. No I didnt get this to be unique or noncomformist. I got it because it was affordable and I liked it. The only other options I had was a hyundai in a similar price range. Ill take a toyota over that anyday. Ugly...well thats subjective. I got it not wanting "attention" but unfortunatly it gets more than my VW with 5+ grand into it.

The "rims" you speak of...are just hubcaps painted black because one got curbed so I painted them for the hell of it. So far Im totally happy with my purchase and it does its job. Fast its not...but its doesnt lack the power needed on a day to day driving experiance. What am I going to do with a fast car around LA? With all the traffic I cant get out of third.:haha:

My VW is my fast/nice car that get the extra $$$ attention. I dont drive that everyday because Im getting stuff done to it...It gets driven. Im just not going to drive on big trips. I take a 6hour drive about once a month and Im nottaking the VW. The wheels alone were quite expencive and rare. If I bend one Im screwed because they are discontinued. About twice a year I do have it in a VW/audi car show that requires a hefty drive.

Sorry you dont like it but you dont have to live with it so I guess it doesnt matter.:wtf:

You are right, the fact that I dont like your car has nothing to do at all with you owning it. But the thing I was trying to get at, is that you made it sound like you didnt like it, and just bought it because its ugly or whatever. And that seems to not be the case at all, thus my arguement and my assumptions hold no water.

right now my personal car is a piece of sh#t 1989 mazda mx-6 turbo, european gt edition. with just over 220 000 clicks on it. needs a new water pump that i dont feel like replacing yet. usually i would care alot more but when you work for a major auto manufacturer i can get a sweet new car for rediculously low prices. but with a piece of crap mobile i drive now my insurance is only 150 a year as opposed to 220 a month for a new one

Heh, every time I visit Russia it amazes me to see all those weird looking cars. Its like one of every 3 cars is like that.
Things got a little bit better over the past couple of years but there are still plenty on that junk on the roads.
