I was actually on the bradleyrose guest list, which the NYTA's tipped me off to--it was a no-go at the door.
Everyone in line was bitching big time--noone bitches like New Yorkers. I had fun listening to the accents. That part was amusing.
It made me miss low-key Texas shows, where not enough people like electronic to have mob scenes like that. |
yea, thats another reason I love to go see him. that guy can bitch. he bitches about everything. worse than me! it makes me laugh so hard. and everyone there is mean -- its like normal conversation. I sometimes think it's my calling.... but I like Texas too much and I don't think I could ever live in NYC, its just a great place to visit |

ah damn...Dirk's calling someone else mean? WOW!
I am still pretty bummed about the show. People were up front, waving their tickets at the bouncers in frustration. The only time the line moved was when people gave up & left--they literally weren't letting ANYONE in. I thought about waiting it out, but didn't want to wait 2 (or an indefinite length of time) more hours.
Later on, my friend got food poisoning & threw up for 4 hours. All in all, a somewhat disastrous trip. |
