The Cockatiel is my mamas, She also had a budgie named Kiki and I had a black masked love bird named Chui (pronounced Chewy) This thing was sooo cute, he was the spitten mini image of a parrot, I loved that thing! One late night I heard this wierd loud thump noise from him, then heard him fluttering around in his cage, but it was covered, so I had no idea what he was doing. Instead of checking, I said "Chui hush! its 3 am!" (cuz he woulda listened right?? lol)
Turns out the thump was him, dead, falling to the bottom of the cage. The fluttering was him comin back alive and dying again, struggling to stay alive, cuz when I woke up, he was dead :sadgreen: |
rofl.. its a sad story but it cracks me up!! :D Birds are definitely cool pets.. I always wanted a nice bird like a cockatiel but after the first bird flew away my dad refused to buy me a bird worth more than 10 bucks.. This one time when one of our birds flew away, as soon as he shot out the door I saw him getting attacked by a GANG of other birds.. I felt so bad.. he was bright yellow.. theres racism everywhere these days :eek: |

i lost 5 birds too. very easy when you have crazy parents.
oh, just put the cage out side "air them out". who knew the cage would have been blown over by a gust of wind. bye bye birdy. |

Marg im sorry, but this post literally made me laugh out loud. I dont know if it was the "air them out" part, or bye bye birdy. Probebly a combo of the two.
