Beh...been meaning to tell you..I love your "IGNORED" shot in your PEOPLE section of your site. I used to see that guy on my way home from work every day. Ignored is very fitting. |

I guess your at least fond of the party pics? =] well can't please them all. I must admit, I've only been taking pics with a D-SLR for only a couple months, I sure do have a lot to learn. If you have some constructive criticism i'm all up for it. |

hey fantastic, thanks for this, i'll address each pic.
The point of this pic, was to render the background building in focus, and render the fence spike out of focus. I wanted the spike in the pic just becuase I wanted it there, It's just my own personal taste.

To be honest, I dunno what I was thinking about the angle, it was so damn cold that night, and I was still just fooling around I took the shot and ran inside. About the guy, I'm actually kind of glad he ended up in the pic, along with the sign and such -- I prefer pics that are easily recognizable. You can look at that pic and easy tell hey that's queen st, old city hall. (Not to say that it's not easily recognizable anyway =P) But it's all about rendering the everday life with a different look.

The point of the light in this particular pic was to make the light of the needle even more pronounced.
It's funny how differnt tastes always play a part, I relish the fact that we all have very different tastes. I like the look of the plastic window and all the rest of the stuff. It's just my own personal taste. I do realize however that it simply can't go over with everyone.
for this one particular pic, I actually dig the light a lot. However your probably right -- the roof/ice was overkill. And the angle really was a test in trying to make sure some things are in the picture and others are not.
By no means am I pro, never admitted that I was - lol I should put a disclaimer.. :thepirate Thanks for the constructive criticism! |

fence spike and the focus
i understand that you achieved what you tried to do,but pro's don't do stuff like that. |
