just wondering what everyones thoughts are on this one..... seems that these days alot of people consider themselves non racist and un prejudiced but still are against the whole same sex marriage issue.
so currently im sick today and not going to classes, and im extreemly bored of photochoping so i decided to kick a thought provoking conversation into high gear... |

but it kinda sounded like most people didn't care, except they didn't think it should be "marriage" because of the religious affiliations that title holds...

| I don't really agree with same sex marriage, but it's not my decision to make. I have gay friends, even though I don't prescribe to their lifestyle. Agree with www.punisher, as long as I'm treated with respect, I will treat someone else with respect, gay, straight, whatever. |

i have no problem with it. marriage doesnt have to be between a guy and a girl, although sometimes..... one guys the girl and sometimes the other guys the girl :D

Before anyone says marriage is an institution from God, let's remember several atheist religions do have marriage rituals.

i think we tend to forget that some of us tolerate homosexuals and while others accept it. i find myself in the former. which for me, basically means i am not going to get in your way or gay bash but don't expect me to join in the Gay pride parade.
i have seen this multiple times here.
when someone will call someone else a homophobe, when i don't actually believe that to be the case. these group of people just find themselves in the same predicament as me. by cause of our religion, ideals, morals or what have you, we just don't accept it, but that doesn't necessarily mean we are homophobic.

There are no valid arguments that I've ever come across to deny homosexual couples the same rights afforded to heterosexual couples. If you're against gay marriage then don't get involved in a gay marriage - it's that simple.
