HH (HardHouse) is absolute e!!!! 160 bpm, air horns and whistles...no thanx...I'll stick to progressive and uplifting.
HH will never replace trance, it's jus something that's become a fad this year. Fergie can spin all the HH he wants it'll never become as big as trance. NEVER !!!!

Just to point out one thing - hard house is not all Horns and Whistles. Granted the cheesy commercial stuff is, but if you look you can find some really well produced hard house tracks out there, often requiring more production skills than progressive. And as for Fergie, If you have seen him live lately you’ll realise that he really isn’t HH
As for a Fad this year – I will agree that many people have jumped on the bandwagon as far as HH is concerned but it’s been around for a lot longer than this year.
However saying that and being a fan of both styles, HH replacing Trance is not gonna happen any time soon or at all for that matter. The comment of “Hard House replacing Trance” is just a mass media creation & a figment of their imagination. The need to have something that’s “New” and “In” each year, and it’s just the time of HH to fill this place. |

I agree with what u are saying and I just said that HH is whistles and horns because that's what u hear the most when u think of Hard House. Still I have nothing against house music, in fact I love NYC Dark house and Deep House, it's just that Hard House seems to be a cheap brand of happy hardcore and trance. I can't see myself enjoying a set at 160 bpm with basically the same beats.
Just watch, a year from now Hard House will be forgotten and ppl will go back to making quality house tracks the way the should be made.
PS. I think it was Deep Dish who summed up HH nicely when they said that it was "CRAP and not even real house" |

The only reason you think of this is because of the horrid horrid face of commercialisation of dance music.

I’m sure that people who are really into HH might say “I can't see myself enjoying a set with airy fairy melodies and swirling trancy sounds.” You have to see it form the other side of the coin dood. Don’t get me wrong though because I am a huge fan of trance as well as HH. However I’m not here to preach to people what to think, and to each his own.
As for it disappearing – I don’t think so. It will go back underground again with the people who really enjoy listening to it / DJ’ing it. It seems to be moving in two directions. To the more techno end of things, like Nick Sientience and on the other hand to the cheesy, happy hardcore sounding, whistles, Hoovers and horns side of things. This cheesy side of HH is a thing which is terrible :( |

Dude that's sad...I don't go to look at cute DJ's...I go to listen to music, maybe that's why i don't enjoy HH as much as u do.
Still i have heard a few HH sets and they are not my cup of tea, if u dig it then more power to u. Personally I'd rather go and see PVD or Sasha and Digweed drop tunes. (Although they aren't that pretty to look at)
It's about the music...nothing else |

I'm not saying that ppl should stop listening to HH. There are many types of electronic music which i don't like, hardcore is another one that comes to mind, but i do realize that ppl have different tastes. I must admit that most of the HH that i've listened to is the cheezy commerical type so maybe my opinions aren't based on firm grounds. Still I do enjoy house music, but house music which is deeper and darker then HH. I'm not a big fan of any kind of music faster then 140 bpm (maybe it's because i actually like to dance to music in clubs and I can't see how that is possible when the beats are so fast). Still to each his own i guess. |

I do like hardhouse but it is no way near as beautiful and emotional as trance! And I've never been able to listen to a hardhouse set for more than 30 minutes straight.
If you like hard bouncy beats hard trance is much better! |
