i got a pretty good elbow to my midsection by some dude who was using his elbows... i was like wtf... i swear, are people not aware of their own body parts?

and one girl who was near front kept maneuvering around people if they stopped in front of her blocking her view of sasha. or like she needed more room or something. near the end when sasha was throwing down stuff, she was jumping up and down and kept drifting backwards. yep, landed right on my foot and i pushed her forward. no apologies, nothing, thought it was like nothing happened. if u're gonna jump, jump in place. bish

I gotta say Sasha's ableton live stuff was pretty banging... Havent heard him play that hard in awhile normaly its the more etheral ambient breaks hes been playing... Though still a lot of break downs, good stuff IMO.... then lavelle came on..... I like his taste in music but it killed the energy sasha brought to the club . Not to mention the system was tuned for club music and not rock music. Who the hell said it sounded good when lavelle came on? I guess if you like fart sounds coming from the speakers. WAYYYYY!!!! to much bass. Then his tracks, dont get me wrong they were all good tracks, but ive heard them for the past 2 years, Its cool to throw down a good classic track every once in awhile but not for everytrack. And his mixing, well james lavelle doesnt mix. I think he was drunk and rather than risk a train wreck he was going from intro to outro...

The ratio of guys to girls was really great i think thats the most girls ive seen in a club in NYC(18 year old girls, but still girls).

I had a decent enough time money well spent, Again its the friends i see at the club that make the night for me.... liz, jen, shamez(where the were you?) Alyssa, Ian.... Thanks guys....

Nice finaly meeting kidnyce...... Surprized ive never met him before...

I'm not going to write a review of Sasha / Lavelle but Ive got something to say about the night.

I don't know about you guys but Crobar seems really badly deisgned for these big acts. That silly tunnel thing is a real problem, it always gets congested and on my nerves as people just charge through it to get to / from the dancefloor / bathrooms and knock drinks and people holding them out the way. Thats expensive when a stella and poland spring is 14 bucks with tip. Add the frustration of blocking the entire copper topped bar off for VIP (I didnt realise you have to be VIP to sit down and get your breathe back). Also I think Crobar needs to get smoker's corner relocated away from the tunnel - everyone was smoking anyhow so why hang around the tunnel of love and smoke!! More bathrooms required on the right hand side also to stop the run the ganutlet style walk around the back of the dancefloor. anyhows.... gripe over with had a good time when found a spot to dance on the stairs.

I had a 6 out of 10 night. I was going to give 5 but the dude with tamborine amused me so 6 - I guess I was expecting a really friendly crowd since the last time I saw him was with PvD at the Casino which got a 9 out of 10. I suppose I shouldnt grumble too much as the scene is creeking in the right direction. We need larger venues here - more intimate than Ikon but the better laid out than Crobar / Avalon. Come on promoters, big $$$ for the right combo!

Looking for a better time at PvD in April....

Who was the guy whoplayed right before Sasha? I thought it was Lavelle, but apparently not. Anyway,I though the did an awesome job....played a lot of cool tracks. Sasha was awesome. I was a little skeptical of this whole Ableton thing, but after Friday night, I'm all for it. All in all, awesome night.. Way way too packed though. Can't wait for S&D in April.

That was DJ Three. Yea I REALLLY enjoyed his set. I kinda didn't want Sasha to go on.

I had a fun night. At around 2am i was itching to go home because it got so freakin crowded and I felt like I was the girl between those two guys from Night at the Roxbury. But then I took a lil break away from the crowded dancefloor and Me, Jenn, Alyssa and Albert scored some killer seating on a big speaker where I took a few naps. I enjoyed Lavelle's set, especially when he played In a State. Anyone know which remix that was? Sorry but after he left and Sasha came back on I got bored, so I left. But good night. Great seeing Kidnyce, Highmay, KLING KLANG!!!! (soooo good seeing you!! I almost didn't recognize you after all this time), fr0st, Miss Bliss and Trunks1022, and avikonen!!

Shamez! I thought this was gonna be the night that I finally got to meet you, but you were MIA! Oh well.
