Man, Lavelle took a beat, stomped on it, squared it and then divided it by 3, taped it back together and roasted it over a fire, and then shot it back at you at 200 mph... I thought it was nuts!

wow, im playing it in my head, hahhaha

Friday was a little rough, thus got in around 4 or so and missed the crowdedness and the line, but where was everyone? Despite the rough beginning it was still fun :-) Only regret is that not everyone got to join in
well pics are up...

ok here is my review...

first off the night was different! The decor at Crobar always amazes me, it's designed each time so nicely and there really isn't another club in new york that can compare at this moment. Music wise, I think DJ Three could of mixed alittle better and maybe influence the crowd alittle more to get moving. Sasha and his huge mac monitor looks to be a trademark now. Music wise, I liked the tag-team concept between Lavelle and Sasha but what is up with this fade in/fade out music stopping crap? Yes I agree that both taste in music aren't exactly the same but wouldn't using similar tracks to move between different dj's be ideal rather then cutting it? I object heavily to the flow of the night, alot of music stoppage to cheer to and the selections of tracks were not what i expected. Honestly I found it unique leaning on the "i'm getting tired of this" mentality. They should have organized it alittle better such that Sasha's ending track would mix well with Lavelle's starting track. Cutting the music and bringing in a heavy off-beat drumline solo doesn't do much until it actually breaks down. Now that I think about it, the drumline was definitely prolonged, not to my liking (like 3 minutes of off-beat drums) anti-climaxes mixed with that rock-ish mentality.

Yes I'd like to see the music veer in that direction, however not instantly flip to it. Sasha was ALWAYS ahead of music, his style was always something irregular, yet tastefully moving. I think this tag-team project should be organized with greater detail in regards to sound-selection and transition. Anyways enough of the jibber, it was something different which was to be expected, yet didn't grab a hold of me and compel my interest...I'll wait for Sasha and Diggers turn!

Big shouts to TAs great chilling with you guys as usual. Jen, Liz, Frost, and Bliss - Arty where was your Russian ass, I want to steal your car so I can do donuts in the parking lot of Target (happy bday man) and the rest of the TAs that i forgot to mention.

I like Crobar as a venue, but its too bright in there....they neeed to cut some of the lighting, make the place a little darker.

I was really, really, really drunk the moment I got on line. I don't remember a thing from the night. I think we left at like 2... I don't even know. I'm a moron.

Liz, next time for sure. :tongue2 Next time I go out, I'll make sure not to drink before at all.
