| apparently my maid thinks she's funny. everytime she cleans my bathroom she turns the shower head to face the door of the shower. i always turn on the shower before getting in to let it warm up. the damn thing sprays me and everything in the bathroom every time. you would think i wouldnt fall for it anymore. |

yes, soaking wet dirk. you know, showers are supposed to put you in a good mood. i flip on the shower, still clothed and am immediately drenched in cold water. there is no shower that will restore my mood after that happens.
on a side note, i went and had chinese food for lunch today. when i was paying i told the lady i wanted to add 1.50 to the bill for a tip. here is the conversation:
Me: Can you put another 1.50 on the bill for a tip
Her: sure, 2.00
Me: No, 1.50
Her: okay, 2.00
Me: No, 1.50
Her: oh, okay
She then hands me the bill with 2.50 added for the tip. I started looking around for candid cameras when she asked if that was okay.
and on my fortune cookie i learned the chinese word for "pot sticker" is "gou-tie". That would be awesome if I knew wtf a pot sticker was.

the meal was like 6 bucks. 1.50 was a 25% tip. thats nice. she gave me A drink. one. never refilled it. i'm one of the best tippers i know of, but for that kind of service, 1.50. oh well, she still got 2.50 out of me. |

I learned that while travelling...showers always put me in a better mood--it's nice to be clean! Except for if the shower is dirtier than you. I checked in to a $20/night motel in Van Horn TX after a 3 day hiking trip, & the shower was dirtier than me. Drove the 7 hours home still dirty.
