and since I have been to my share of 21+ nights I can also say that besides a handful of parties in the city (spirit, crobar, china club, viscaya, etc.), almost everything else is a ty house lounge or some little fancypants establishment playing house, rock and 80's with sketchy 25-30 year olds hitting on anything with 2 legs and a , strutting around like they run and "are down with the young girls". I mean c'mon there's people at Lobby with gray hairs dancing:wtf: :haha: yeah mature enough alright |
Nice generalization about 25-30 year olds. Unfortunately, I'm 28 and don't fall into your category described above. Young girls? I typically meet 24-25 year old girls when I'm 28. Man, I'm just robbing the cradle.
Stick to the point, we're talking DJ events at Crobar 21+ vs. 18+. Let's stop varying away to comparisons to China Club. China Club? That place is a sleaze infested box. They play hip hop and caters to 30+ crowd. Crobar caters to 21-early 30's who like EDM. Big difference.
Don't compare Avalon either because that is like comparing an apple to a pile of . |

Funny how I didn't notice any state governments banning Asian or blacks into bars. I love how the race card is thrown in there as a comparison. That always gets things stoked up, even though it has no relevance to this case. So Crobar traditionally says 21+ only. But where are their parties that say whites only? So how is that a comparison?
I beg to ask the same question, how many of you 18 year olds have been in a 21+ and over event? So you're only comparing things on hearsay. That's not a convincing argument to me. Come back at 24 years old after partying your ass off for 3 years and tell me it's the same. Then I'll listen.
Basically, it's the 18-20 year olds on hear that need to chill out. All we're saying is that we think 21+ events are better from our personal experiences. Hard for me to tell another person who has experienced things again and again that "no, you're wrong in your opinion that parties 21+ are better.... but no I haven't ever been to one" |
but for those of us who have been to 21+ nights by means of promoting, dj'ing, fake ID's, etc. our opinions can be valid, but obviously different. I appreciate all the TA's who are 21+ clubbers and don't just go around bashing 18, 19, 20 y.o.'s because everyone else their age is anal about it. The bottom line is, if you are succumbed to believing in stereotypes and therefore promoting them ,then you need a reality check. We didn't start this thread, we never brought up the issue until you did, so we were chill to begin with. |

That's a little sensitive. People just came on and said, damn.. I wish it was 21+ because of x, y, z. It wasn't "Fawk you 18 year olds, you little whiny biatches... you ruin everything." So we were freaking out huh? |

yeah, I'm 18 and I don't fall into any of the "immature" generalizations either. So what have we discovered here?
I didn't compare Avalon to anything...but yeah, an apple to a pile of .

this thread's going nowhere...
have some cheese with that whine everyone.
honestly, 21 and under, don't take what people say here personally, but until you go to a 21 and over, you can't dispute our expierences in that setting. and 21 and over, well i guess we'll learn to deal with it. arc was 18+ and i loved it. maybe if crobar had bannination on alcohol you won't see stupid things.... |

No alcohol = No extra income..
Why are all the underage children in here still sobbing? No one said that you specifically are immature and ruin the parties. The majority of people below 21 just have a diffrent mentality and act differently, either getting loud with someone or drinking to much because they got away with it; bottom line is the younger crowd just responds differently to most things, and as some of you state no its different just because ur below the age, we (21over) see it first hand which we all have said and seen, aside from generalizations. No one said oh you dont know how to behave cause your not 21 so dont take it personally. saying that your all battyman and have a chip on your shoulders and think your all exceptions, well thats directed to you so take it personally. ya'll just need to cheeeeeeeeill wagwan |

lol we can dream cant we? unfortunately all clubs depend on the $$$ from alchol even though thats one of the roots that cause problems at the club. and i agree about ARC, i totally enjoyed the place...i guess we'll never see something like that again...*sigh* |

Prohibition in the clubs? ummm.......sorry but to me that sounds extremely lame.
How about then we sit around the club and all hold hands. We could just close our eyes and feel the music because... "man, I'm just here for the music......" |

| Don't think you can use prohibition in that context, when you turn 21 you wouldnt be banned. and yes without the mighty 18 year olds clubs would just turn into poetry sessions, its not like 20 and 30 year olds now anything about partying:rolleyes: |
