HEY, HERE IS A REFERENCE FOR YOU. IT MAY BE OF SOME USE.

Don't type in all capital letters
Typing in all capital letters on the Internet is considered rude because it is difficult to read and comes across as very aggressive. Turn off your caps lock before posting!
From http://www.techsideline.com/message...y/13/1868.html:
People capitalize to show emphasis. If an entire message is capitalized, then it really defeats the purpose of capitalization. As for being easier to read, 95% of readers will disagree with you. It's simply common message board etiquette not to keep the caps lock on. |

| I always heard the mainstream dance music on the radio, then when older and had the internet, I just went down this route. |

my friend listened to it. he gave me tiesto's in search of sunrise 2 cd and i was in love! we would always listen to di.fm when we were at his house (back in the day when di had the green background and was free:whip: ) and from then it went to eurodance (lasgo, gigi and stuff) then i kinda fell away for a couple of months. went to a club fell in love once again (eurodance :wtf: ) and from then back to trance :D been a long road but i know where i am heading!
edit:: now i recognize robert miles - children i remember hearing it when i was little kid) kinda funny how that song stuck in my head :P must mean i was born for this!:thepirate |

Ignoring the Roland synths my father owned undoubtedly having an influence for the moment, he also did a little commercial DJing on the side and had to get some dance music to play out, despite not really listening to any himself. One such compilation was called Dance Mix '92.
It had all the top dance hits of the time on it and, more specifically, the moment I heard those chunky synth riffs of 2 Unlimited's Twilight Zone, I was hooked. As a result, my first album I owned was a 2 Unlimited release.
The second one, however, was a bit different, which set me on my way down the rave route quite early. A DJ friend of my father's asked me to tag along so I could learn the ropes myself and do my father's DJ side business in his stead to earn a little coin for myself. For my service, he let me have a CD of my choice. Still being after 2 Unlimited material (it was about the only major act I knew really well that early on), a compilation with a remix of Twilight Zone caught my eye. It was called Radikal Techno, and compiled by a then relatively unknown Canadian DJ Chris Sheppard. The other material on this comp would set me down the rave route, which included:
Human Resource - Dominator
The Age Of Love - The Age Of Love (J & S Remix)
Westbam - The Mayday Anthem
Apotheosis - Obumbrata
There's more to the story, of course, but that's the initial thrust of it. |

| Dance music was generally the same as the first poster, cheesy LA beach style tracks always were a guilty pleasure to many. My addiction to Trance took off the first time I heard Magik 6!!!:eyes: |
|
|
| Desty Nova |
| Dj mix tapes, and Mp3 downloads got me hooked. |
