a TA Essential mix...do read on

Wot would u guys think about a thread where you could show what you would do if given the chance to do an Essential Mix?? For those of you who dont know what the Essential Mix is, its basically a 2 hour set from many big name and not so big name djs every saturday night on Radio 1 (UK radio station)
So i was thinking about starting a thread where anyone intrested could submit a 2 hour set, tracklist and maybe a small discription about the mix..if u want to. Ofcourse a mix of any musical style can be submitted, new productions from some of the many many producers on here, old favs, complete unknown tunes. The only parametres(you dont HAVE to stick to these but would make it interesting) being you either include an intro, outro of somesort or throw in a classic track towards the end.
Then at the near the end of the year...(if anyone actually thinks this is a good idea) we cud have a vote for the TA essential mix of the year?? Ive emailed Radio 1 about the idea to see if its possible, near the end of the year the winners mix was submitted to them if they wud play it(fat chance i know but ...worth a shot)Im waiting for a response but surly with all the djs etc on here the winning mix would be a damn good one to at least make them consider the idea??
I think its possibly a really good idea...and a fresh topic which gives you the chance to really think and show how you would present an essential mix if given the chance...who knows if Radio 1 reply u may get to lol
So wot do u think about the idea?? Its in the planning stage atm but if you have any suggestions or ideas feel free.... |

That would be sweet, and I know of at least one TA that paled on the EM - Jon O'Bir.

Atm this is just the work in progress thread, if enough people think it wud be a good idea then i cud easily make an offical one, im just trying to see wot people think of the idea atm. if u have any ideas type away and we will see wot we can do. Cause to be honest im not an expert in posting mixes or the whole hosting thing so any info towards any of that stuff pm me...but im thinking a simple enough thread, u post the mix link, a tracklist, maybe a small bit about the mix or tracks and people can review away in the same thread??
Its cool u would be intrested in doing it...:):)

well this is only the "Ideas" thread about this idea, but ive had a few pms now and everyone seems to really really like the idea so far....If you guys have any suggestions please go rite ahead.
Ill start an official thread in a bit after hearing any of ur ideas or suggestions, :):) Glad alot of people are going for this...lol |

cool idea, doubt radio 1 would would comply but i reakon it could be easily sorted for an etn/di/taw (when its back) slot :)
