I hope so.

All I (believe I) know is that it is a critic to the educational system. I hope that's not all it is.

hmm in a way it is. Its a protest against the british teachers during the 1940s, who would often humiliate and beat the students. The scene is really powerful, one of the best in the movie, you really have to see it.
Another Brick in the wall is much deeper than that though, its divided in 3 parts. Pt 2 is the education system protest.
Basically, The Wall is the story of a rock star called Pink Floyd, and it begins from his childhood as a school student during the war to his rock career. It tells the story through memories and dreams of conflicts and experiences he had through his life. Each of this experiences and memories are "bricks in a wall". This "wall" surrounds Pink Floyd, tormenting him, and ide tell you more but ide spoil it. Everyone can interpret it their own way perhaps. The movies has very little dialogue. Its told through the music and the lyrics of the wall.
Like someone said Pink Floyd didnt really make singles, so you cant really see "another brick in the wall pt2." as one track, its part of a story.

If you're talking about bands that broke up, Stone Temple Pilots and Guns N' Roses are on the list. But for pure fadeaway value... I'll stick with the Gin Blossoms, add Third Eye Blind, and throw in possibly Collective Soul (even though they have a new release out that isn't up to par with their old stuff).
