I saw the best hooker fight on Dundas a few years back, faux fur was flyin'. The city is a little more dangerous now...alot more homeless, beggars and bumsicles in the winter.

i have 4 guns here, but i wouldnt use them if someone broke in, A i dont agree with shooting people, B it would take me 10 minutes to assemble them (i keep them in torn down state in different locations just for the reason that if someone breaks in they cant steal a functional weapon)

i do have my camping gear in my bedroom closet, so machete, eastwing hand axe, assorted hunting and camp knives, climbing ropes and rapelling gear... (note punching someone with a carabeaner would hurt like a bitch)

last but not least.... my potatoe cannon.... i would use that just beacuse when the guy who broke into my house realizes he went to jail cause i shot him with my spud gun, it will make his prison stay way more embarassing....

3 shot on Yonge
GUNMAN OPENS FIRE AT PACKED CORNER
By JASON TCHIR, TORONTO SUN

TWO INNOCENT bystanders were shot yesterday when a gunman opened fire on another man on a crowded sidewalk at Yonge and Dundas Sts. "It was terrifying; a shooting on Yonge St. when there are families and hundreds of people everywhere," said Denise Lewis, 35, who was shopping at HMV when the shooting started on Yonge at Gould St. around 4:30 p.m.

"People were running for their lives."

Toronto Police said a man with a gun was on the sidewalk in front of HMV when he took several shots at a 24-year-old man who was walking away from him, crossing to the west side of Yonge.

"The (victim) was hit once in the upper leg and he got into a stranger's vehicle, which took him to the hospital," Staff-Sgt. Frank Pantaleo said. "The shooter fired two more rounds at the car."

Those bullets struck two bystanders who were on the sidewalk in front of the Le Chateau on the west side of the street.

HIT IN LEG, HAND

The first man, 28, was shot in the left leg and the other, 24, was shot in his left hand, Pantaleo said.

All three victims were treated in St. Michael's hospital. None of the injuries were considered life threatening.

Police believe the gunman fled south.

Madhi Kandasamy, who works at a nearby restaurant, heard the shots and saw the victims.

"I came out and saw one man shot in the hand and another shot in the leg." Kandasamy said. "One of them collapsed onto the ground and people were trying to help them."

Police closed two blocks of Yonge from Dundas to Gould for nearly 2 1/2 hours while fire crews hosed away the blood from the street and sidewalk and officers searched nearby garbage cans.

Pantaleo said police still do not know the motive for the shooting.

The shooter is described as black, 6-feet and 210 pounds. He had dreadlocks and was wearing a black jacket and black pants.

That's pretty ballsy to do that in a crowded area, in broad daylight. I'd have to say Toronto is getting more dangerous, however in L.A. that type of thing happens all the time. I wonder if it was drug related?
